Help me to connect 2 dell computers with cables

The easiest method of connecting any computers is to use a router which will also provide a DHCP server component to serve up local TCPIP addresses to each connected computer.

To connect to the router you would need standard ethernet cables which are available widely and which would plug into the network port of the computer and the other end into the port on the router. You need one cable for each computer to router connection.

If you have computers with WiFi / wireless capability, then you would need a wireless router and could then connect without the need for cables.

Take a look at the Practically Networked web site which has revies of various types of routers and also provides tutorials on networking and other related subjects which would help you.

Need to connect modem to two computers so one computer can access work vpn.

Depending on how you set up the first computer, you can have one computer connected by USB and another by ethernet (straight-through cable). If you want both computers connected by ethernet, you need a crossover ethernet cable between the Modem and a router or switch (hub). You will need a straight through ethernet cables from the router to each computer.

Then set up each computer as appropriate for the type of connection (including installing drivers for the USB as needed). For more details see: http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/products/SB4220/downloads/SB4220_userguide.pdf .

I hope this helps.

When i connect vivitar vivicam 3815 with usb to computer it does nothing!

Some cameras need to be configured to connect to a computer before connecting it to a computer. Please see your manual. If it doesn't need to be configured, try connecting it to another usb port on your computer. You have to make sure that the usb cable your using to connect the camera to the computer is not defective. Try using another cable. Also, try connecting another device to the computer using usb connection to make sure that the usb port is not damaged. If again, nothing happens, then you have to consider that the usb port on your computer is damaged and you need to contact your computer's manufacturer for it.

Need help in connecting to the internet using Dlink 704p router.....

it doesn't matter whether the other computer is set to static and the other one is set to dynamic as long as both computers are getting/using valid ip addresses.
if i got it right. 1 computer is connected to the LAN port of the router and the other computer is connected to the WAN port. if so, you need to connect both computer to the LAN ports and the WAN port of the router should be connected to the modem that you are using.
if the physical connection is correct, check how you are connecting to the internet through the modem. if you can access the internet from the modem without configuring anything, you just need to power cycle. turn off everything then turn on the modem first, wait for the lights on the modem to turn on properly before turning on the router then turn on the computers.
hope this'll help you but if not, just provide the following:
(1)ISP:
(2)brand/model of the modem:
so i can help you further.
