Hello, Susan -

Is it that you cannot recall the phone number assigned by your telephone service provider for your land line phone? If so, I doubt if a Fixya volunteer answerer can provide you that information. Instead, I suggest you contact your telephone service provider Customer Service Department and ask your question.

If and when you purchase a replacement land line telephone set, if the telephone service provider is still supplying you with land line phone service, the number for your new/replacement phone will be the same number which was assigned to you and used with your now-stolen phone sets.

Best wishes. View all achievements »

You're going to have to explain your situation better. Of course you don't have phones: they were stolen. What kind of number do you have in your question? Model # of the last phone that was taken? What kind of help are you seeking? Hopefully someone can help after you submit better details.

How do i change the voicemail on my landline and how do i retrieve messages on telkom landline.

Hello, Janine -

The voice mail and message service for your landline phone is provided by your landline service provider. If you did not receive a printed booklet directions for your landline phone service, I suggest you call your landline telephone service provider Customer Service number (Telkom) and ask for one.

From the Telkom web site, this looks like the number to call:
10210

Can't forward from my vtech to my att cell no matter what I'd do

Call forwarding is NOT a function or feature of the VTech 6041
cordless phones.

It is offered by some telephone service providers, but their
procedures are proprietary and specific to that individual
telephone (service) company -- if they offer it at all.

Good luck!

Caller display doesn't work

From the BT website...

"If you are using your phone on a broadband line make sure you fit an ADSL microfilter between the telephone line cord and the telephone socket."
I'm guessing you have one on the landline, probably next to the router but not the handset base :-)

I want to forward my home phone to my cell phone. Is that possible?

Assuming your telephone service provider offers the call forwarding service, yes. The procedure varies from company to company, but often you dial *72 from the landline, then the number to which you want the calls forwarded. That phone will then ring, and you must answer the call to confirm. To cancel the call forwarding, dial *73 from the landline.

If this doesn't work, contact your telephone service provider for their instructions regarding call forwarding.

What type of fax copier? Some models have what is called line suspend to keep people from interfering with the transmission of information, this includes other phones inputting dial tones. In general it is best to have a landline that is dedicated to the use of the fax machine.
