SOURCE: Not turning ON, fuse blows.

In most cases, it is either a shorted component in the power supply or a shorted horizontal output transistor. It will take experienced electronic troubleshooting to fix it. TVs have lethal voltages (both 110V and 25,000V kind) and improper repair can result in shock, injury, or the emission of X-rays by the TV! Be safe and either replace the set or have a shop work on it for you. I'm a tech with over 25 years of experience, by the way. I appreciate honest rating of this reply if you find it helpful.

SOURCE: How do I connect my Lenovo X200 Tablet to my new

Hi,

Couple things to be aware of:
1. The X200 is not available with a Blu-Ray drive. So, your HD content will need to come from somewhere else, such as downloading from iTunes. Alternatively, you can purchase an external Blu-Ray drive. (it may be cheaper / easier to buy a dedicated Blu-Ray player if that's the route you want to go).

2. The X200 only has analog audio output. The only surround you'll be able to receive is Dolby Pro-Logic, provided your source material has it encoded that way. You can connect your laptop to the receiver via a 1/8" to RCA adapter, available at virtually any electronics retailer. (Buy the cheapest one you can find) Connect the 1/8" plug to your headphone jack on the laptop, and the white and red RCA connections to any available input on the back of your receiver. (such as CD, AUX, DVD, etc.) Select that input on the front of your receiver and you'll hear the output of your laptop. Enable surround sound processing (pro-logic) on your receiver. Check the manual for instructions on how to do that.

3. Purchase a VGA cable (I recommend monoprice.com ). I suggest staying under 15' for optimal quality. Connect one end to your laptop, and the other to the PC-in on the back of your TV. Select that input using your TV's remote. (On my Sony, I press Menu, External Inputs, then PC)
4. Set up your laptop to use the external monitor. I suggest leaving your laptop off till you plug in the VGA cable. If upon booting your laptop is outputting to the TV display, usually a key combination such as Shift-F7 will enable it.

Alternatively, your TV has an 1/8" audio input jack that goes along with the PC input. If you've connected the audio out of the TV to your receiver already, the audio from your laptop can pass through the TV to the receiver. 1/8" cables can also be purchased from Monoprice.com.

Let me know if that helps!

SOURCE: fuse blows

Both 3 or 4 amp slow blow fuses are suitable replacements for the 3.125 amp subwoofer fuse.

It could be that the subwoofer is blowing the fuse because the one you installed was not slow blow.

But, more likely is the subwoofer has a short in the power supply which is causing the fuse to blow.

SOURCE: I have a Sony STR DB930. Something happend and it

The fuse blowing is a symptom of something seriously shorted internally. What preceded the initial problem? Smoke is bad. Fire would be soon to follow without the fuse blowing. Take it to a tech.

Suddenly blows fuse as soon as plugged in why?

Usually a fuse blowing immediately means there is a short in the amp somewhere.

Sony STR DE835 receiver - no sound from speakers and headphone jack

The problem is in the audio output semiconductors, they have shorted causing the fuses to blow and it is in auto protect mode to prevent further damage. I recommend a professional to assess.

My sony home theater emplifier just wnet off while playing, there's no sign of power,it cant switch on anymore

check in the back for a fuse, if no fuse in the back, it may be inside the case. If it's blown, there usually is a reason. also check to make sure that your speaker wires are not shorted, if they are they can burn up the output stage of your amp.

Hi there, I have a Philips Home Theater System that recently went out. I few weeks ago I was playing my ipod through the dock when the sound went out and the system became stuck (none of the controls...

Of course it can be repaired, but not by us and maybe not economically. Take it to a tech.

Try disconnecting the speakers and a new fuse. Maybe it's just a speaker shorted. Low probability.

Sony STR-D565 fuse continues to blow

You could have a shorted winding in the power transformer. The diodes in the power supply can be shorted. Filter capacitors can short and send power to ground which will blow the fuse.

Sony STR-D460Z receiver

A common cause are failures in the amplifier output stage, the drivers, and some of the support components. You will have to send the unit out for service.
