SOURCE: kenmore elite washer model 20952992 pouring water

We had the same problem. The bleach dispenser tray is located on the drum below the bleach storage pan. The dispenser tray has very small holes that were plugged by rust from the hose clamp that attached the dilution water supply hose to the bleach storage pan. I removed the top of the washing machine to discover the problem, but it may be solved by attaching a flexible tube or small hose to the end of a vacuum cleaner hose and cleaning out the dispenser tray. There is room between the dispenser tray and the storage pan and is located in the front right corner.

SOURCE: My Kenmore Elite washer spins to slow cauisng the

If this is occurring mostly on heavier loads your clutch may be slipping. If you take a flathead screwdriver and push down the lid switch so the washer will spin with the lid up, grab the inside of the drum. If you can easily stop the drum its most likely a bad clutch. If you tip the washer back and see oil underneath then its probably your transmission leaking oil onto the the clutch causing it to slip (in which case you need transmission and clutch assy). If you see oil I would probably not bother calling a tech it would be a pretty expensive repair.
IF the problem is with the clutch only it may be worth repairing but to replace the clutch you will have to remove the pump, motor, transmission, and the clutch mounts on top. The other less common possibility could be a bad drive block under the inner tub. hope this helps. _MJ_

I have change stuck is washer making noise when washing. How do I get it out

If this is a Whirlpool Cabrio, it has two pumps. One is the drain pump and the other is a recirc pump. In most cases, loose change an other items end up in one of these pumps. The following link explains how to access and check the pump(s) on the washer for obstructions.

If you have something stuck in the wash tub, you will need to remove the washplate in the center of the wash tub. Follow these steps:

1. Lift the washer top panel by locating the retaining clips in the seam along the front (about two inches in from each side). Use a putty knife to push in while lifting on the top panel to release.

NOTE: Its a good idea to tape the lid shut to prevent it from flying open when you lift the washer top.

2. Remove the wash tub ring. This is the plastic ring around the perimeter of the top of the wash tub. There are a series of release tabs around the tub that you can pry with a screwdriver.

NOTE: The washplate will not come out with the tub ring in place.

3. With the tub ring removed, pop the center post cap off the washplate. Locate the center nut and remove. Hold the washplate with one hand as you loosen to keep it from turning.

4. Lift the washplate out of the tub.

With the wash plate removed, you should easily be able to access anything stuck in the spin basket.

If you have any questions, or if this is NOT a Cabrio, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Broken door handle

Hi, there should be two screws holding the handle. I looked up my suppliers and this would need to be ordered. The cost is between 21 and 29 dollars, depending on color.
Part#8559750 Graphite color or P#8559751 Black
If I can assist you further, please let me know. I can order the part.

Thanks

Sounds to me like the belt is broken or has slipped off. Try taking the back off (6-8 screws) and you will immediately see if that is the problem.

You need to pull the machine out and tilt it back to look at the pump on the right side. Need to remove carefully using a trash bag to contain the water. Then to examine for debris in the impeller. The second part is too remove the washplate by popping the center cover and removing the 7/16 bolt. Then to grasp the basket and lift sharply on it to pop out the washplate enough to remove. In the center you will see some phillips screws to remove, not the position of the pieces and line them up for reference. Next notice the tabs attaching the tub ring to the tub and remove the tub ring after loosing the recirculate hose clipped at the left rear corner. No with some patience the basket will lift out allowing access to a cover held in by two screws. You want to remove and inspect for debris and soda change.

If you have already removed the outer washplate, the inner wash plate should just lift off the leveler and u-joint. The washplate dome refers to the center cone that fits on top of the outer wash plate. This piece comes off by inserting a screwdriver in the slots along the sides and gently prying to release the locking tabs. The mounting bolts that secure the outer wash plate also secure the inner wash plate to the u-joint assembly. There is a seal under the inner wash plate that may be holding it on. I don't know of anything else that would be holding it in place. Searspartsdirect.com has an excellent exploded view diagram of the wash plate and components that you may refer to provide you with a perspective on how everything fits together. I hope you find some of this information helpful. Please post back and let me know if you are still having problems.

PS You may have to resort to using a rubber mallet to lightly tap on the inner wash plate to knock it free.

Kenmore elite he3 - door lock

If sound like a lid switch issue. Open the top of the washer to get an access to the lid switch(located near the doorframe). Look for a loose wire or a broken switch. In case there is no loose wire or broken switch, you should replace the switch. Good luck!

Kenmore Elite problem

1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.
