P code for a Clarion cx501 - Clarion Car Audio & Video

They gave it to you when the bought the unit. You will need to find the serial number on it and pay a company to sell you the code. This says 'FREE', but nothing ever is!

I f you are using the plug and play harness that comes with you truck. Then go throw and just the radio its own power with its own fuse and then ground it to the body of the truck and see if that helps. If it does not help then take the radio out hook it to the battery with a fuse in line and see if it still blows the fuse, if it does then there is something in the radio that is not right.

This is not a solution but my Nokia Lumia 920 does the same thing. There are several post on the internet all pointing back to the 920 and iphone 4. I think the only link here is the cx-501. Clarion support is playing the blame game and blaming my 920 as the problem.

If the radio is a factory radio the code to unlock it should be on a bussiness card size peice of paper with the owners manual and warrentee booklet. The card will say radio code and have a six digit number.
