Hello Mike, it would be easier if you mention the brand and the model of your alarm clock radio, to be able to find the simplest solution.

Mosfet 50wx4 indicates a feature of the Pioneer car radio. It isn't a model number. One Pioneer car radio/CD player with this feature is the DEH-1500. On this model, you need to turn off the unit to set the clock. Press and hold the Source button (to the left of the preset tuning buttons) until the device turns off. Press Audio (upper right corner) repeatedly until the clock appears in the display. Use the arrow keys (Skip/Back or Left/Right) on the right hand side of the radio to select a segment of the time to adjust. Use the Up/Down arrows to set the current time. Repeat choosing the time segment and adjusting the time until both the hour and minutes are correct. Press Band or press and hold the Audio button to exit the clock setting mode.
Real Answer to set Clock on Pioneer DEH-6 AM/FM/CD car player - DEH-6 will have no FUNCTION button.
1-Press SOURCE ("SRC" - button left of "1") and hold until unit powers off.
2-Press AUDIO ("A" - button upper right) and hold until clock appears in display.
3-Press </> arrows to select hour/minute to set - numbers will blink.
4-Press up/down arrows to increase/decrease hour/minute.
5-Press "BAND" or press "AUDIO" ("A") until unit powers off.
6-To check: Press CLOCK to turn on new clock setting display.
To set this alarm first ensure that when you press the Mode button several times the FM/AM radio does not turn on . If the FM or AM radio does turn on or the lcd displays "AU" press the Power button that is next to the Mode button 1 time (pressing the Power button toggles you between 2 settings). You should now be able to press the Mode button at least 3 times without the FM/AM Radio turning on.
Next you press and hold the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button and (while continuing to hold down one of the Alarm buttons) press the Hour or Min buttons to set the time of whichever alarm button you are holding down.
When you have the alarm time set you can release the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button and press the same button (do not hold the button down this time) to cycle between the types of alarms you can use. You will see the blue circle indicator move between Buzz and Radio when pressing the buttons (Blue circle on left side is for Alarm 1 and blue circle on right side is for Alarm 2). There is a third option as well but I'm not sure what the alarms will do if you set them to it because the blue circle indicator disappears entirely after cycling to Buzz and then Radio.
Just press the larger On / Off button, lower left side of clock, select AM / FM band (make sure you install either the am band wire antenatal and the FM antenna (comes with clock) use the rocker arm switches to search out stations and adjust volume by turning knob on the right side of radio, that's it... (0:
1. Switch radio ON by pressing RADIO ON/OFF
2. Press TUNNING +(UP) button on the left side and hold it (frequency start counting up on the display)
3. Press ALARM RESET/SLEEP (and release both buttons)
AM should be switched to FM now.
Steps 2 and 3 can be repeated to swith between AM and FM.
If anyone still has one of these, and is struggling to set the alarm, try this:
For setting the alarm
Press the menu button. Press right arrow button 5 times until you get 'clock' then press select.
You'll see 'set alarm,' press select button again to say yes.
You'll see a display with all the current settings: Alarm 1, the current alarm time and whether it's set for Daily or Once. Pressing the right arrow now advances the hours, the select button moves you on to the minutes, set these with the arrow buttons too.
Select button now moves you to 'Daily' or 'Once' - again you change this with the arrows. Select button moves you on to choose Radio or buzzer (again, you change this with the left/right arrows and press select for your choice).
All settings are done, you can power off now, or I think pressing menu took me out of settings mode and back to radio display.
Turning the alarm on or off:
Press menu, then right arrow 5 times for 'clock.'
Select this and you'll see 'set alarm' - press right arrow button once and you get 'Alarm On/Off.
Now every time you press select, the bell symbol toggles from visible to invisible, visible being 'on.'
You can now press menu to get out of the settings mode.
To set the alarm hold either alarm 1 or alarm 2 buttons down. While holding down the button adjust the hour by pressing the tune+ button. The bottom left of the display there will be a light letting you know if it is pm or am. While still pressing the alarm press tun- to select the minutes. If you want to wake with radio or a buzz keepholding the alarm button down and press the am/fm/aux button. Release the alarm button when done. To select an alarm just press the alarm botton you want once, a light on the right side of the display will turn on. To unselect press the same alarm button once and the light will turn off. To turn the buzzer off in the morning select power/al off button located at the top left of the unit.
AHAH! I had this problem also, so i tried google and it led me here. Luckily, I kept trying and figured it out so I will share my knowledge with you although you may have found it out already...
First, make sure the radio and ipod are off and it's in clock display mode.
Then, click and hold "alm set" while clicking the left "timer set" arrow to set the hour of your alarm and the right "timer set" arrow to set minutes for your alarm.
Then click "alm on/off" to turn it on and off.
