Question about Watches

1 Answer

I have a 2010 Maximilian munchen RC watch that digitally reads correctly but the hands are not correct and I cannot find a manual to tell me how to reset this.

I tried to attach a picture but was unable. This watch does not have a stem- has 4 buttons, two on each side for adjusting settings. Any assist would be appreciatedy

SOURCE: Resetting GMT hand

I have CL1180 and had the same problem, pulling the winder out to position 2 (fully out) and using the buttons resets the second and 10th second hands and putting the winder in position1 and using the buttons does the same for the minute and hour hands. However finding position1 was tricky, only seems to work on the way out from fully home and not on the way back from pos 2.

Hope that helps.

SOURCE: Diesel DZ7069 watch - how do I set the correct date/time?

ok ,here it is .
Instructions To Set The Time On The Diesel DZ7071 Watch

Ok the first and most important thing to know about this watch is that it has an unusual timezone function (unusual to me at least). This allows the watch to display two different times. Time 1 (or T1) is the primary time (the time of the place where you spend most of your time!). The time can only be adjusted whilst the watch is in the T1 mode (T1 should be displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen). Holding down the top right button for one or two seconds will temporarily replace the current T1 time with the T2 time. Holding down this same button for several seconds will toggle the current time mode to T2 and the watch will continue to function in the second time zone until you toggle it back to T1.

The second most important thing to know is that you can only set the time whilst in the T1 mode. When in T1 mode hold down the top left button until the watch enters the settings menu (it should say "Light" at the top of the screen) now use the bottom left button to toggle through the settings menu until you get to the time settings. I think this part of the process if sufficiently straight forward so I'm not going to go into more details here, all I'll add is that once you have the watch set to the desired time mode 12h/24h time and date you just need to press the top left button to save the settings and return to the main time screen.

To set a secondary timezone time you have to first toggle the watch to the secondary time zone mode (hold the top right button for several seconds and the T1 indicator should change to T2 (and the watch will now be displaying the time that is currently set for the secondary timezone). This time is based on the primary time by simply telling the watch a number of whole hours ahead or behind the primary time. To adjust this hold down the top left button for several seconds, the watch will then say "offset" now use the buttons on the right to add or subtract hours from the primary time. Once set press the top left button again to return to the main time screen. Finally hold down the top right button for several seconds once more to return the watch to the T1 mode.

SOURCE: Hour hand does not match digital time

Hi, activate the touch screen, touch the middle of the screen 3 times slowly until you see the OPT in the LCD. press the middle big button on the side of the watch once until you see the 24H screen, then hold down the same side middle button for 5 seconds, the display will then say SYNCRO.

You first move the hour hand with the top and bottom side buttons to 12 touch the middle of your screen to set then move the minute hand to 12 as straight as you can, then press the middle of the screen to set to exact digital time. Thanks Mark ;-)

I have a Casio Wave Captor 4757 WVQ-142E and after the change in time this fall I can't seem to set the time correctly. I am in Paris, so GMT +1, however it is 10:30 and my watch reads 3:03. I have reset...

I sympathize, it took me ages to work this out - I had the same problem having had the battery replaced in my watch which only lasted 18 months...the irony was that my previous watch was still working & set to the correct, time date etc!

The following instructions are for the Casio Wave Ceptor 4757 WVQ-142E, the official Casio instructions are available at the following:

http://www2.casio.co.jp/manual_pdf/wat/en/pdf_search.php?MODULE=4757

For the extra information Casio neglect to tell you in the manual, read the following:

First, the watch needs resetting. To do this you need a watchmaker's screwdriver, remove the back (4 screws - obviously, you do this at your own risk), remove the thin plastic cover to reveal the battery.

On my watch on the battery cover it says to reset the watch, get a pair of tweezers & connect the battery back to the negative (marked -) plate for about 2 seconds, thus forming a circuit.

The watch stops, the screen goes blank for about 30 seconds, replace the plastic cover , back & screws.

Wait until the watch has picked up the correct time signal, the digital part will show the correct local time, the analogue screen won't at this stage.

Set the watch to the desired time zone that you require or HS (Home Setting).

Then press button "C" (bottom left) to scroll through until "HS" is displayed on the screen, then press button B (top right) for about 5 seconds until it flashes "OO" in the screen, then press the A (top left) button down & to reset the analogue time (so all 3 hands are pointing up) to 12 O'clock, it has to be set to 12 so the watch will recalibrate itself, if it is not set to 12 O'clock, it won't work! - sadly Casio don't tell you this bit in the manual....& of course this is really obvious to us mere mortals!

Now that you have aching hands & repetitive strain injury, press the B button (top left) to exit the (watch) hand setting mode & the watch will now wind the hands by itself to the correct analogue time, (or in theory it will, it took three attempts to set my watch).

Yes, for the record Mr Casio, if you hand a watch to someone & tell them to set it to the correct time, they will set it to the current local time (assuming that it is not 12 O'clock) & as opposed to 12 O'clock by default!

This is not rocket science, if your company is able to make & market a radio controlled watch which is in theory accurate to one second in a million years because it is controlled by the Rugby atomic clock, you'd think that the instruction department could write some decent instructions!

Hopefully this solved the problem!

Casio Wave Ceptor 3353. Digital time is correct. Hands are about 15 minutes fast ahead . Cannot correct.

I have the casio 3353. When I read hte manual to do different things, it always startes the instruction by saying "in timekeeping mode". In the instuction booklet at page 8 it shows a picture of the watch face in timekeeping mode and in the picture the face shows the day and date. My face is showing the digital time here. How do I show the day and date,or the timekeeping mode?

Cannot get time to set correctly. Hands off ~45min Wave Ceptor atomic watch set on home city CHI. Time is off an hr on screen and hands are off about 45min. Cannot get it set correctly.

You should be able to set your "home"city to give you the correct time but if it is an hour out, then it may be giving DST when it shouldn't (or conversely not giving DST when it should).

You can also se the hand to agree with the digital clock. The instructions are too long to write here but if you haven't go the instructions, you can get them by going to the Casio web site.

Enter "casio.com", select "support", then watches, accept the termd snd then select "watch manual archive".

Read the required number off the back of your watch and enter it into the search box. Click on "search" to obtain your instructions.

I adjusted the hands when on usin the compass function and when the hands reverted back to the time it was not correct even though the digital time reads just fine..How can I get the watch hands to mimic...

The manual will tell you how to do this. To obtain a copy type "support.tissot.ch/?mod_flashPDF/id_138" into your search engine and this should take you to the manual page for your watch.

The digital display shows the correct time but the hands do not.

hi there when you replace batteries in wave ceptors all hands have to be set to the home position (straight up at 12 oclock), as the instructions vary wildly from watch to watch you will have to download the manual from www.casio.co.uk you will need to put in the module number (found on the back plate of the watch), this will be in PDF format, you can download adobe reader for free from www.adobe.com to read PDF files. good luck

Casio Wave Captor Watch wont set to correct time.

You need to manually adjust or set the hands to the home position as they are not where the watch thinks they should be. This can happen when you bring your watch close to a strong magnetic field. Look in the manual to do this. Afterwards your watch should set to the correct time.
