Lemon and honey in hot water. Antibiotics if it's that bad.
spit out the phlem that you cough up. The horrible green gunk is the infection so always spit it up.

I've heard dry toast helps to drag the slime from the throat but it will come right back again until your illness has cleared.

Globe willow is oozing white sappy stuff front trunk. The tree is only a year or so old I think. How can we correct the problem?

Possibly the following slime flux, but that is not something I could be sure it is from your description.

______________________________________________

http://shadetreeexpert.com/tree-diseases/

Curiously, wetwood and the associated slime flux help protect the infected tree. The bacterial growth creates conditions in the wood and slime that inhibit wood decay organisms. Furthermore, if the slime flux continues to flow over a number of years, the liquid that is toxic to other organisms can discolor the bark, kill moss and lichens on the bark and even kill grass at the base of the tree. The stain on the bark can be either light or dark color. There is no treatment for slime flux but that fact may not stop insistent garden center sales clerks from selling homeowners "a cure" anyway. In the past arborists would insert a tube in the tree to allow the slime flux to flow more freely and drip onto the ground. But this technique is no longer recommended because it doesn't improve the problem and the hole for the tube is just one more injury to the tree.

Disease and Fungus
Be on the lookout for bark diseases in globe willow. One of the worst is slime flux disease. Symptoms include a smelly, frothy slime that oozes from branch bark. The ooze is from bacterial activity inside the branch, which forces sap out under pressure. There's no cure for slime flux. All you can do is make sure the tree gets enough water, and prune away the dead and diseased wood wherever you can. Clean pruning tools after use to avoid transmitting disease to other trees.

A co worker has finally been diagnosed with whooping cough. She has been coughing for 4 weeks. How long is she contagious. how likely will it be that the whole office will get it?

whooping cough is very contagious, there is a vaccine for it I would check with your doctor and practice really good hand washing till then. I also would not hurt to have her work station completely cleaned and sanitized.

I was exposed to whooping cough from March 7 thru March 28. I have had a harsh cough since March 27 with other cold symptoms for 4 or 5 days previous. Am I still contagious?

Have you seen a doctor? If you have and it was nothing more than a cold, you're probably not contagious anymore. If you haven't seen a doctor and think it was only a cold but the cough won't go away, I would advise you to see a doctor.

I have had a really bad cough for the last few weeks. How will I know when to go back to the doctor?

Firstly you should trust your instinct and if you feel that your cough hasn't got any better, or maybe is even worse, you should go back to your doctor. Some coughs are harmless but can hang around for weeks, but it's always good to be sure.

If you have any of the following symptoms, you should seek emergency medical care straight away;

- Extremely short of breath

- Turning blue in the lips or finger nails

- Swelling of the lips

- Coughing up blood

Is there any purpose to coughing?

Coughing is the body's way of keeping unwanted stuff away from your lungs. Coughing helps to keep the airways clear from extra mucus. Smokers, people with colds and lung disease etc produce extra mucus which can lead to an infection if the airways get blocked up.

I use Slime in my bike tires and am following dealers recommondation that I pump up tire to 40 lbs pressure every 2 weeks.I am encountering problems inflating tires. It seems that the Slime will not allow...

I am pretty sure on the slime I use that it says I had to ride the bike immediatley after I put it in for about 5 miles, this was to throw the slime to the outer edge, also have you tried with the valve at the top of the wheel when pumping?

Please let me know if this doesnt help, if it does however can you rate my answer.

Hello doctor my kid 3yrs old having cough since from 10days i tried all medicine what to do now doctor

Hello there,

Cough medicines are being prescribed to be taken only for ONE WEEK and your kid has been taking cough medicines for almost 10 days without development to his or her health. You should stop giving him/her those medicines and immediately consult the doctor regarding your kid's cough. The cough might have complications and continuously giving her medicines without doctor's prescription is not healthy. I would advice that you take him or her to the doctor or pediatrician.
