Quick cam messanger ..Mic is not working

The web cam, key word being cam, may mean that the camera has no mic for you to speak through which would, in your case be usable only by an entirely different audio input device. Try plugging a mic in and using the same software (after ensuring that the computer is reading the device through control panel) and that the computer is recieving incoming audio from your buddies talking.

IN YAHOO MESSANGER BOX ON TOP CLICK MESSANGER ...CLICK PREFERENCES...UNDER CATAGORY ON THE RIGHT CLICKCALLING AND DEVICES MAKE SURE YOUR CAM/MIC ARE PROPERLY SEEN IN BOX ON LEFT.THEN GO BACK AND UNDER ACTIONS IN TOP OF BOX CLICK CALL SETUP AND SETUP.RICHARDM69

YOU NEED TO USE THE MESSANGER CAM/MIC SETUP ON THE MESSANGER SO I WILL RECOGNIZE CAM OR MIC.IF STILL NOT WORKING..UNPLUG THE CAM AND LOOK IN DEVICE MANAGER.FIND YOUR CAM AND UNINSTALL THE DRIVERS.REBOOT.DOWNLOAD NEW DRIVERS FROM WEBSITE FOR CAM.MAKING SURE ITS THE RIGHT MAKE AND MODEL AND ITS THE DRIVERS FOR YOUR OS.THEN REBOOT.PLUG CAMERA BACK IN.SYSTEM WILL DETECT IT AND LOAD THE DRIVERS.HOPE THIS HELPS.RICHARDM69

You would be surprised at how many people don't realize that each application has it's own configuration screen.

It's not the end-users fault - like you said... the instructions could be a BIT more clear.

have you set the camera up in windows live settings for both sound and video? This is in tools,audio and video set up
