Why won't my new brita filter blink green. Just changed it

On mine you have to press and hold the button down for 5 seconds to reset it. The jug doesn't know you have changed the filter :>)

Brita Memo Replacement Unit failed then order a FREE replacement !

Create an account at Brita then go here you will receive you new Brita Memo Replacement Unit within 10 days.

https://www.brita.net/uk/replacement_parts.html?L=1

Usually the battery in this unit will last about four years however if you register your details with a valid email all BRITA products will come with a 2 year manufacture guarantee... but should any part of it break, we will send you a replacement part absolutely FREE

Don't bother trying to replace the CR1616 battery yourself it is a sealed unit and once the seal is broken you can replace the battery but it will fail very soon with steam ingress even if you superglue it.!!

When I pour water into Brita pitcher I always get a lot of sediment or whatever it is from the replacement filters. I tried pouring different ways but not much of a difference.

From the description of this model's replacement filters, they appear to be carbon filters. What you are seeing is most likely bits of carbon granules from the filter media (which doesn't say much for the construction quality of these filters). I would suggest getting an inexpensive countertop or under-counter filtration system instead of using Brita pitcher filters. These systems usually come with both carbon and sediment filters and if you get a non-proprietary one (i.e. not a system off the shelf at Lowe's), the filter elements are a lot cheaper to replace.

Too much carbon in water

Sounds like a bad batch of filters. Stop using them and return them to Brita for analysis and replacement

Brita filter needs replacement, but is stuck. any advice?

Hold filter cartridge in one hand and slowly turn on water. The water pressure will push the cartridge out of the housing.
