SOURCE: How do I reprogram the

  • Remove the inner cover plate from the lock.
  • Locate the small round reset button near the left side of the circuit board (Red or Black).
  • To program, press the reset button once, then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.
  • To enter a second code, follow the same procedures as in step 3, but this time press the reset button twice then enter your code.
best of luck.

Weiser Power deadbolt works backwards on keypad

I have installed your Powerbolt, but when I push the Lock Button, it unlocks? What should I do?
First remove the cover on the inside of the Powerbolt unit. On the right hand side under the batteries, you will notice that is says "Door Direction Jumper". If the cap is mounted on Prongs 1 & 2, carefully remove it and move it over so that it mounts Prongs 2 & 3. A is right handed, B is left handed.

Weiser powerbolt worked well for several months but now is not reliable anymore. Changing batteries did not help. It sounds like it is locking but sometimes fails to lock...we cannot trust it anymore

Hi... You have too be sure that the deadbolt is free when it go inside the deadbolt hole... however this system is very low power and the (over torque clutch) will sleep if the deadbolt it's not completely free.
Also if you try to open the door before you unlock it, you may block the the deadbolt inside the deadbolt hole. Take care too unlock the door before open-it...

Bolt doesn't open all the way

You should replace your batteries as the motor that moved the deadbolt does not have enough power to move it with weak batteries. If that fails make sure the deadbolt moves freely when the lock is removed as the mis-aligned mounting will cause excessive force be exerted to move the deadbolt. I have a keyless weiser deadbolt. Can't find any model # but bar code inside reads 0550B05755CC. Has worked well until I tried to lock going out and only got long beep. Tried to recode and will not open or...

Very common for the keypad to stop working.
check that the keypad is not defective. You can disconnect the batteries and then unplug the keypad. Now put the batteries in without the keypad connected. If the beeping stopped, your keypad may need replacing.
You can get a replacement at the store where you bought it for free or call the Weiser support line and they will mail you one for free.

The deadbolt will not retract. even when new battaries are installed

Does the motor run when activated? If so, your friction wheel "O"ring is worn out. This is a mechanical issue and should be covered by the Lifetime Warranty.
Call them. You only need to send the battery compartment side in. (inside of door)

When i enter the combination you can hear the mechanism turn, but the deadbolt is not moving. is this powerbolt shot, and do i just need to replace it? i expect the gears are not meshing?

If this is an electronic lock, you may need to replace the batteries or check that the power supply is not frazzed if it is connected to the mains.

If it's mechanical, a couple of good squirts of lubricant might get it moving.

Other than that, you might need to call a locksmith.
