SOURCE: Not receiving power

It may be the power inverter on the TV itself.

If it's still under warranty I would call the company you bought it from and ask them to cover it for you. If it's not, get a quote from a local electronics store that deals with TV repairs.

Incase it's not the inverter and is something else inside the TV (blown capacitors , etc) I would recommend keeping it unplugged until you get it looked after.

SOURCE: When I turned on my viking 980, the power went on

More than likely it blew the fuse in the transformer, although it is fairly easy to replace this fuse it is important to find out why it blew. The transformer is under the machine and held in place by 4 screws. Take this out and ease the transformer out, it will still be hooked to the connecting wires just gently disconected them. Once you open the transformer you will see a small fuse, you can take it to radio shack and get an EXACT replacement.
I have fixed 100s of these of the last 25 years

Power does not turn on when i push the power button

first make sure there is power to the outlet if it is agfi outlet push the reset button if it clicks its working but inany case plug something in to the same prongs that you know works(eg; lamp, radio, etc to make sure it is working. If it doesn't work go to the circuit breaker and look for a breaker that is not in the on position and turn it off the turn it on to reset it. If the outlet works, check the power cord for cuts fraying or any signs of damage and replace it if it is damaged. if the cord looks fine, check tho door switch(usually a pressure switch that must be fully depressed for the machine to start working. also is ther a power light on the unit? is it a top load or front load? what brand and model # is it?

My is73 system will not power up . the 2 fast blow fuses are ok

Hello, welcome to Fixya!

Your receiver is having a power fault because it is not switching on. The receiver might have worked fine in the past, but that's electronics for you. Power surge, irregular power supply, excess power supply, etc can affect the unit thereby not making it to power on.

First, remove the unit's power cord from the wall, wait for about 30mins, then plug it back in. If it doesn't power on, plug it into another outlet, to make sure there electric current entering into the receiver.

If plugging into another power outlet doesn't power it on then it confirms that the receiver is having a power fault.

When electric current comes from the power outlet into the receiver, it goes straight into the power supply board which then circulates the current into the unit. So if the receiver doesn't power on, the first thing is to make sure there is power entering into the receiver.

So check the power cord, if it is a 3-pin plug, it must have a fuse in it. check the fuse if it is not blown. if fuse is intact, then power supply board should be checked.

This unit must have a power supply board in it where power enters from the mains. A capacitor, fuse, diode, etc may have been defective on the power board and maybe that's why its not making the unit turn on. There might also be some disconnection or something, inside the unit which is not making it to power on.

To actually find out what's wrong, you need to disassemble the unit with a screw driver and check what's wrong. You will be needing a meter and continuity tester in order to read the components on the power board. Once you detect any bad component, you can make necessary replacement at any electronics accessories store withing our vicinity. This is the only way by which you can detect and solve the problem.

Of course, testing the power board with a meter will require someone that has the ability. So it you can't, then you might be needing the help of a repairman or you can call a friend that has the ability to help you out.

I wish you the best of luck.

Regards.

Thers no power to my washing machine.changed the fuse and theresstill no power.what do i do ? thank you emma

Hi emma... Unplug the machine from it's current outlet and use a heavy duty extension cord to plug it into another outlet that you know works [plug a blow dryer in to check it].

If the washing machine works then you know the problem is in the outlet or the wiring to the outlet. IF the washing machine still doesn't work you know the problem is within the washing machine itself. Possibly the lid switch or a fuse within the machine. J.

Turn on

Check the power at the outlet make sure you have 208 or 240, if you don't then thats your problem. The CVA 615 will not turn on with 120V. If you have proper power requirements and it still does not turn on it could be the door close switch isn't making contact all the way. If it's still not working call MIELE at 1800-843-7231
