I have a Pearl Maax corner hot tub which was new in 2006. It will turn on okay, but once the hot tube warms up it will not turn off. I then have to trip the outlet to turn it off. What is the fix?

Does that model use an air switch to turn it off and on? You may have a loss of air compression in the switch linkage somewhere. It's not uncommon for those to fail after a few hundred compressions, especially if they were impacted sharply.

SOURCE: Jaccuzi hot tub will not heat?

sounds like it maybe the heater again. Have you pulled it out and checked the ohms? it should be at least 10.5 ohms
it could be the thermostat or the pressure switch - if either of those are not working it will not heat either.

SOURCE: no power to hot tub...

In all liklihood, your problem is a breakdown in the insulation of the heating element. The elements tend to be mineral insulated then metal jacketed. Once you get a bit of corrosion on the jacket and a little water gets into the mineral powder, it's insulation properties fall off sharply, shorting out the power supply.

There are two practical ways of testing this:

The pro way of doing it is to borrow a high voltage insulation tester, disconnect the power leads from the element and check the resistance between one of the elements terminals and the jacket. Treat anything less than a megohm as a failure requiring replacement of the element. (nb. This is one of those rare cases where you need to use a proper insulation tester - an ordinary multimeter often fails to find this problem)

The alternative is just to replace the element and see how much difference it makes.

SOURCE: After approx 40 min of highway driving the AC stops blowing cold

This is a problem solved by moderation. There are pressure switches in the system which cut off the compressor for too high a charge and too low a charge. The unit is suppose to cycle between a predetermined range, a moderation between high and low. If you were having problems before replacing the freon there is at least 1 pressure switch that could have been your problem in the beginning. If you have a manifold guage which shows high and low pressure you can tell when the pressure switch is open or closed. Some switches and for sure the autoparts store selling them can tell you the op[erating range of your switch. You can try just replacing the low pressure switch and fly blind without the manifold guages. Know how many ounces of Freon you put in? Compare to specs to see if you overcharged.

Pearl Trillium diverter and hand held shower

The faucets on your Pearl tub do not come from Pearl. They were supplied by the local plumber who installed the tub.
Go to your local plumbing store and match up what you have.

I can not find my operating manual to my Maax whirl pool tub. I have filled the tub with water and a light comes on and will not go off. should it stay on as long as there is water in the tub? I filled...

From what I found, it seems like that is normal. The light tells you the water is high enough to operate the whirlpool if you desire. If the light bothers you, you could turn the circuit breaker off for the whirlpool. That would also protect it if you get power surges.

Hello, I don't have a problem, but more of a 'change' in mind. I have a maax whirlpool tub but really miss soaking in a tub with bubbles, or oils, or oatmeal treatments, etc. I feel I cannot do this...

your friend is correct. Actually the oils will not hurt the system either but not sure about Oatmeal in the tub. As long as the jets were not turned on with the Oatmeal thingy going you would be just fine.

Cold air blowing into Maax Velvet 6032 Bubble Tub

The air coming from the blower will be cool, but should not be cold. Turn on the blower or bubbler feature (no water necessary) and go to the access panel ( as specified by install instructions), reach in and feel the tube connected to the blower, the tube should be warm, if not the heater coil is not working and the blower assembly needs to be replaced.
