I have a Dynex DX-55L150A11 connected to spectrum cable thru an HDMI cable. No problem with sound when watching a channel. when I go to the Guide menu and exit out of the Guide menu, I loose sound.

i am having the same problem, so i called the mfg. of the tv and they told me to set the PlayStation to out put 1080i and not 1080p i don't think this is possible. my tv is a Hitachi and they are sending me an update card for the tv, hopefully this will fix the problem. Apparently its a problem with the tv not being able to receive a 1080p signal

I know you've probably figured this out by now, since you posted last May, but I figured I would post the solution, since I just found it, and someone else may want to know.
I bought one of these sets the day after Christmas 2009, and finally figured out the code that works with the Dish Network 5.4 IR remote.
I did a Code Scan, and found that the code that works is 721. In the Dish Network listing, this is listed as the third code for Sansui.

I had the same issue when connecting through HDMI 1. I tried one of the other three and it works.
