Ron's answer is probably more on point, just thought I'd add some personal experience. had a similar problem on my lawn boy this spring. pulled on the starter rope and the engine was froze (or it felt like it). finally fixed it by pulling the spark plug and spraying wd-40 into the engine. slowly got the engine to pull over after some difficulty. put the plug back in and got it started after 4 Pulls.

There's no diagram. If your drive cable is kinked it wont release properly and cause this issue. also if the adj arm pivot bushings are worn it will **** sideways and cause this issue

2002 Honda tcs light stays on until engin gets hot

99to 2004 odyssey had problem with TCS solenoid
The solenoid screen that adjust and filters during shifts becomes clogged. After prolonged use( about the time you notice bad shifting) the filter is already clogged. It will throw a TCS light. Typical symptoms are bad acceleration, poor shifting ( typically 1-3 gear), hard shifting( banging when changing gears and hard shifting when putting it in drive. The issue goes away after the trans has cooled but comes back as the temp rises. change the trans fluid and then put new solenoid so it won't get clogged again, but there is chance ,your trans is on it's last leg, when you change the fluid, run the old fluid through paper towel and see how much debris from clutch material is on towel and, if there is any metal particle on towel, that is sign of bad transmission

Do u have to pull engine and Trans on 2002 Honda civic to replace engine?

No you don't if it's automatic. If it's a stick shift you can as well it's easier to pull the trans and motor together

Honda atv troubleshooting

The neutral lights is not going out until the atv goes into gear. Look over the shift levers and rods that puts the vehicle into gear. Take the shift linkage loose from the engine and see if moves by itself. If all the linkages move except when attached to the engine, then the linkages could be out of adjustment (if it has multiple linkages like 4 drive) or the engine has some internal issues like trans problems or other related to the shifting mechanisms.

2000 Honda Accord Check Engine light on p0740

YOU HAVE A TORQUE CONVERTER PROBLEM. TORQUE CONVERTER CONTROL CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION CODES CAN COME FROM ELECTRICLE TO INTERNAL MALFUNCTION. IF YOU START EXPERIENCING A HARD SHIFT OR FREE SPIN TO HARD SHIFT DON'T BE SURPRISED. TRY CHANGING FLUID. THIS MAY HELP. HONDA WOULD HAVE REPLACED TRANS IF UNDER 105 k FOR FREE. IF YOU HAVE TO REPLACE TRANS. BUY ONE FROM HONDA, 3 YR WARRANTY AND AS CHEAP AS A REBUILT TRANS. HAVE A QUALIFIED PERSON INSTALL, YOU WILL SAVE ABOUT $500 DOING IT THIS WAY. GOOD LUCK

Honda passport trans light flashing

Most likely you have a bad transmission pressure solenoid. You weren't too specific so here's what to look for: The engine light, the trans light and the shifiting, if when you drive on a level surface the suv seems to shift late and very rough...that is probably what it is. It's a few hundred to have fixed because they have to pull the casing off the trans and they'll want to replace the fluid and filter too. good luck.
