What do I do with the very small pin in my dash cam to see the film on it

The pin is normally a reset button. Your recordings should all be saved onto a small tft card which should secure itself into the cam by pressing it from the end until it 'clicks'. Removal is the opposite, so press it again and it should 'click' out

Itsca heater element failure code.please chech heater element.generally when we replace fuser film the small two pin connector on front side is disconnected.may be you forgot to put it back.

Error code F30 in my case was generated when the plastic link bar forced the cam over a small plastic pin stop. The cam was trapped on the wrong side of this small pin and could not be rotated by the linkage. Removing the linkage and repositioning the cam solved the problem. Why it jumped the "fence" in the first place is a mystery. Time will tell if it reoccurs.

Tony your camera is now over 30 years old. THe fact that this is all that is wrong with it is a blessing. But why are you still shooting film? There is nothing you can do on film that can not be achieved on digital.

This is most likely smoke if you or someone else that drives it is a smoker. There is a small chance that the plastic dash is outgassing and causing this.. The dealer has something you can put on the dash to help slow that down.

there are special tools pin to lock crank in correct position and cams have flat plate that goes across into both at rear of cams small section goes up from memory, the cam gears have no dowel pin/locating pin to camshaft you do bolts up last when all are locked in position and grenade pin (locking)pin in tensioner is removed and chain is tight then hold cams with shifter or spanner(wrench) on cam flats and do up cam gear to camshaft bolts on each cam.
hole in front cover just above crank pulley at 11O clock, blind blanking plug must be removed to put in chain tensioner pin, crank blanking plug on your left side when looking at crank pulley(side of block) remove and locking pin goes into there when at TDC no1. and cams should be in position to lock with plate as described above.may not be any timming marks on chains or gears due to the locking tools needed and relied on for correct position.

This is the fix for the Main board repair :
Locate IC 32 small 8 pin surface mount near top of Main Board and remove. Short pin 2 to pin 5. (pin 5 through 8 are together and pin 2 and 4 are together)
You will need a good TV Tech to do this for you.

If I remember correctly you pull out the pin that the crank swivels on.

Open film door.
There should be small CR2025 battery in the film door.

Try to cut off a thin plastic strip. just try to copy that. it basically guides the cartridge on where to print. also i remember that it should have a spring connected to the holes.
