Hello Eric, you should be able to disable the energy saving of your Philips by entering the menu, then choose Picture, then select, Auto Picture and from there enter and select Energy Saving, where you can change the status and achieve greater clarity, all these steps are indicated in the user manual, page 31
I sent you the link to download the user manual
I hope my comment has served you

SOURCE: Black Screen with horizontal lines

are u sure that ur not able to see the fone's stand by screen now?its totally black?are u sure that there's no problem with the screen itself, the care guys might have left the screen connection loose. other wise try one thing,Format ur fone. by pressing *#7370# u have press keys once wait for 5 seconds and press the left selectin key [where u get the YES option normally. the fone would restart and lets see are u able to go back on the screen. IF YES then u can set the Sleep mode to off cuz the sleep mode gets inititated after 20 minutes when u keep ur fone idle means u dont operate ur fone for atleast 20 minutes. BUT IN THIS CASE ULL LOSE ALL UR DATA INCLUDING CONTACTS AND MESSAGES ETC.IF U HAVENT TAKEN THE BACK UP EARLIER.so its totally upto u that u want to proceed with this step or u can again show ur fone to the nokia care guys. but they'll charge u cuz obviously after 2 years ur fone is out of warranty

Finlux 42FLHT911LH TV screen stuck on power save mode

You have a board that has gone faulty, or perhaps failing capacitors. Take it for service or replace it with something better.

It appears to be made in China and not a brand I know here in Canada. Seems to ring a bell from when I lived in the UK.

Picture on my Samsung LCD LED un48H6350AfXZA TV disappears and leaves a black screen while audio remains. What is the likely cause

The Picture Off mode could be enabled if the picture is visible for a while. To check if this is the case, press any button on the remote other than power or volume. If it is, press Menu. Enter the Picture sub-menu and select Picture Off. Disable the feature. This feature is described in the E-manual for the 6350 series TVs here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/2014-led-tv-h6350-series . See http://www.manualsdir.com/manuals/421041/samsung-un32h5500afxza-un32h6350afxza-un50h6400afxza-un48h6400afxza-un65h7150afxza-un60h6350afxza-un65h6400afxza-un48h6350afxza-un40h5500afxza-un60h7150afxza-un46h7150afxza-un50h5500afxza-un75h7150afxza-un60h7100afxza-un55h6350afxza-un40h6350afxza-un55h63.html?page=163 for just the page on the picture off mode. If the picture is dim at times, check if the eco solution mode is enabled (System > Energy Savings).

If the screen is always dark, then the back light is not working. This can be caused by the failure of the LED back lights or the inverter that powers the backlighting. If you see a faint image when you shine a flashlight at the TV, this could the problem. The inverter usually fails before the LEDs. Replacing the inverter requires opening the TV and could have a shock risk. Replacing the backlighting requires separating the LCD panel from the bezel and getting between the layers at the edge of the panel.

I hope this helps.

How do I disable power save mode

Press the Power key > Activate power saving. To deactivate power saving mode, press the Power key > Deactivate power saving.
When activated, the power saving mode turns off some functions automatically. Radio configuration in power saving mode include the cellular radio (it is set to 2G/GSM only mode), the Bluetooth radio (it is turned off) and the Wi-Fi/WLAN radio (scanning for new networks in turned off but existing networks keep functioning). The power saving mode also reduces display power consumption by minimizingscreen brightness and by turning off touch screen feedback and theme effects. In addition the vibra alerts are turned off in a power saving mode. Hope that helps Anomy.

Why is the monitor screen very dim ?

Check your current software power settings profile from within your operating system. It could be possible to be set on something like "Save Energy" profile, meant to save your battery energy, even when you are plugged in, and reduce the energy to the components to minimum (even on CPU, HDD, screen, etc...) Change the power profile to something like "Best Performance" (or something like this, depending on your OS) but be careful when you run on batteries (and not on AC)

LAMP KEEP BLOWING OUT. TOSHIBA 65 HM167

I had this same problem with my Mitsubishi it is when you have fast on mode set it pre warms the bulb to much. I turneed it off and now the bulb has lasted much longer Setting the Power-On Mode feature You can select either Power-Saving or Fast mode. If you select Power-Saving mode and you turn off the TV, it can take several seconds for the picture to appear when you turn on the TV again. Power-Saving mode saves more power than Fast mode. See "Specifications" on page 66 for details. If you select Fast mode and the TV is turned off, the TV will stay in Standby mode for several minutes (see Note below). If the TV is turned on from Standby mode, the full picture appears immediately. To set the Power-On Mode feature: 1 Press Y and open the Setup menu. 2 Highlight Power-On Mode and press c. 3 Press b or B to select either Fast or Power-Saving and press T. Note: If Power-On Mode is set to Fast and you turn off the TV, the following will occur for a few minutes: • The screen (lamp) lights dimly; and • The fans continue to run. This is a function of the Power-On Fast Shutdown mode and is not a TV malfunction. If you do not prefer this, set the PowerOn Mode feature to Power-Saving. When the Power-On Mode feature is set to Power-Saving, if you repeatedly turn the TV on and off in a short period of time, the useful service life of the lamp may be shorter than the average useful service life (- page 63).
this is from your manual not my Mitsubishi please rate this answer if you felt it was useful.

My monitor states its in power save mode.when i press any key, nothing seems to happen.

To bring the computer out of the power save mode press the "Windows" key once and release, wait one second, then press enter. The system should come out of power save mode. The Windows key is the key with the Microsoft Windows Symbol on it. Another solution would be to disable power management.
To disable power management, right click on the desktop, click on properties, screen saver, then Energy Savings Settings button.
Change all the settings to "Never", then click on "apply" and "ok". Power management has been disabled.
