My hisense remote is not working after it was connected to wireless connection.. what to do?

That isn't going to work. You phone has no infra-red transmitter and your television isn't a smart tv connected to the wifi, so your television providers app won't work with it.

You have two choices.

Take the remote apart and clean the area under where the Red Button is.

Or

Buy a new copy remote for that model. They are cheap.

You may not have the correct remote for that TV. There is no 'connecting' involved. Either it immediately operates the TV or it's a similar unit that will only operate minor things like on & off. Sometimes not even the volume! Get the right one by for your TV by using the model number of the TV and get it on eBay or Amazon.

check your settings. its a little different depending on pc (windows 10, 7, vista) but on windows 10.

1. click the box in bottom right corner.
2. click the connect button.
3. should pick it up there and then connect to it.

that is the section for connecting wireless displays and such so should work. I had this problem in the past with a tv and wireless headphones. If you are trying to connect a wireless device with bluetooth or vise versa it will not work because the technology is different. Also, some devices have a setting for bluetooth but you will still have to buy the adapter for bluetooth in order to do so.

To connect to Wi-Fi, you need to have the WLAN switched on.

1. In Settings select Wireless & Networks.
2. Make sure the WLAN option is ticked.
3. Select WLAN settings,
4. Select the Wi-Fi signal within range and if it's secured you will need the password for it.

Check out your manual and look for the section regarding connecting to your home network. The tv set must detect the network for it to properly set up the connection after you give it the name and password to your account.. It will be easier to press the connect gateway on your router then you will have several minutes to get your Hisense to connect before the access is re restricted

Connect it by using an AV cable, and select the input to TV to AV. AV cable will look somewhat like this.

I would first check for a firmware update for both the TV and router. Also double check your wireless passkey as it is case sensitive.
