Miele canister is pulling up carpet threads, too much suction what to do

With the unit standing upright, double check the clear plastic air passages on the sides of the vacumn to see if they are clogged.

TOSS IT and forget it! I have never used a hand vac that worked that was worth the effort of turning it on .... I suggest they are all junk ... I found very few vacuum cleaners ... actually **** especially anything made by dirt devil ... I do have a bagless Bissell 6579-2 that I purchased 4 years ago at walmart for $49 ... It outperforms any vacuum I've ever used, including my worthless Shop-Vac that I paid a lot more for ... this Bissell vac SUCKS ... It could **** the barnacles from a steamship!

SOURCE: motor makes loud growling noise, no suction on

Hi there SmartAlec from NelsonVacuums.com.au here. Unfortunately that normally means the motor has shot its bearings and/or its carbon brushes. I think it is time to purchase a new one. On the bright side there are some rreally great vacuums out there! If you want any help choosing a new machine send me a message. Happy Vacuuming :)
