Hello Karen, if you want to connect your CD player to a TV, you can do so by connecting to any audio and video input on your TV, connect the L and R output of your CD player, you will have video input, there is a problem
I hope you serve my comment

TV Says 'NO SIGNAL' but plays CD via player ok. What are the possible causes of a NO SIGNAL on a black background?

No signal means that some external source (aerial, HDMI input, AV input) isn't providing a signal.

Your TV plays a CD okay because that is built-in.

Try connecting an aerial feed and tuning the TV.

How do I connect a cd player to both a tv and an audio amplifier so Ican play either Cd's or DVDs?

Does the TV have a line audio outpot (red and white jack)? If so feed the amplifier input from there.

No sound from speakers when tv is playing

Try the changing the input on your DVD to " AUX", that input will allow you to play sound from your tv through the DVD

I can't get my coby DVD 937 to play sound while watching tv. It works fine while playing a DVD or CD????

there should be an input line of just audio cable hookups (one red and one white) that you have to run and an output cable from your tv audio output of just red and white. make sure the tv says output or line out and the surround sound system says input or line in

Cannot turn TV off when playing CD's with samsung HT-X810R/LG50PG

Problem traced to Samsung's Anynet+ System interacting with LG's Simplink. They seem to be
compatible. Cured by Menu/Option/Simplink/OFF. Hope this helps with anyone else having this problem. trev6.

Need a diagram to hook my Bose CinemaT speakers. When I hook it directly to the tv no problem but can't figure out how to hookup my reciever and CD player to work also? Help Please

You'd be better off hooking the speakers to the RECEIVER'S speaker outputs, THEN hooking your TV audio output to an unused receiver input, such as AUX. The signals from your receiver cannot reach the TV; thus your CD player and radio will not play through the speakers if the speakers are hooked to the TV. All receiver INPUTS are designed to accept the same signal level; thus, you can use any input for your TV audio, such as Aux, DVD, CD, etc. Just remember which input you're using for the TV audio, and everything should work fine. Almost all receivers have an AUX input; hopefully yours also has a dedicated CD input to avoid confusion. The you simply select the AUX input to hear your TV through the speakers.
