Good day. we are leaving for Namibia on the 8th of June. My daughter's passport expires in July. We applied on the 21st of May. is there any way we can speed up the process?

https://www.google.com gives the procedure for expedited passports in South Africa, assuming that is where you live.

https://www.westerncape.gov.za/service/applying-passport

Quoting:
"Emergency Travel Certificate
This document can be issued to South African citizens who need to travel urgently and there is insufficient time to process a passport application.
To apply, you'll need to complete a DHA-73 form at Home Affairs domestic office or, if you're overseas, at a South African embassy or mission.
You must also:
  • Have proof of your identity. If you don't have an ID, here's how to apply for one.
  • Supply 2 passport photographs. Confirm with your nearest Home Affairs office if they're using the new biometric system. If so, then you don't need to bring your own photographs.
  • Have your fingerprints taken.
  • Pay the fee of R140.
It will take about one week to process the application and issue the certificate.
This certificate is valid for 9 months and can only be used for a single journey.
Please contact your Home Affairs office before visting, to confirm if they're using the new biometric application system, or if you need to bring your own photos. "

I am divorced almost a month ago I was told that they register it at home affairs, my status still says married. What do I do now

If you are in South Africa, contact Home Affairs for assistance.

FIXYA users cannot access South African government records, or resolve issues with the South African government or universities.

An internet Google search shows the following contact information for Home Affairs in South Africa.

Unfortunately you have posted your personal name and private affairs on the internet. Most of us do not live anywhere near you, in fact thousands of miles away from South Africa.

Perhaps you need to contact Social Services or a trustworthy relative or friend to help you deal with this issue.

Here is a link to a phone number for Rustenburg.
