No sounnd on marantz sr18 - Marantz Audio Players & Recorders

NOT A CAR/TRUCK SO MOVED TO AVR

THE AVG. AVR HAS OVERLOAD DETECTOR AND LAMP AND RELAY
THAT FAILS WHEN OVERLOADED.
PER THIS SIMPLE LIST

1. SPEAKER WIRES SHORTED.ENDTO END
2. SPEAKER SHORTED.
3. TOO MANY SPEAKERS WIRED IN PARALLEL.(THE ohms rule violated)]
4. the amps side is failing.
5. the overload detector is bad, telling lies, and shutting it down.
6. try no speakers, to see if it trips.
7. It is 1999 and is old. even bad caps inside now.

Could be any number of things: ECM fuse blown, camshaft/crankshaft sensor bad, low power on battery, bad coil/coil pack. I would really help if you put the year and make of the vehicle, I don't know what an sr18 is.

Get the right engine.

did you check you threamostert rely which opplater you fan.

One of your five amplifiers has blown its output transistors. Unfortuately, with SR18s, many components down the line from the outputs get fried as well, and (in my experience, anyway) it usually takes hours to track down all the problems. You can still use the unit as a preamp/tuner/surround processor by taking signal out at the pre-out jacks (you have to remove the five jumpers), and feeding it into external power amps, but repairs to the SR18's amp are probably going to be costly and complex. Sorry about the crummy news - hopefully I'm wrong!
