SOURCE: 1996 es 300 lexus cd player wont play says error

For the cd player error.I just fixed mine i had to take the whole unit
out.Take it apart remove the laser and clean it .I'am a Electronics
Tech ( but it's not hard ) use a Q-tip and some 91% Isopropyl Alcohol.
This will help for new cd's.( before even new ones errored out)But old ones, it still error's out.
Because the laser is old and weak. But if you got the time it can't hurt.
good luck

SOURCE: my car battery died.when i put in a new my cd player stop working

If your radio is still working, then your power is OK. The Sony CD changer gets its power from the Sony Unilink cable. It is possible that it passed a power spike down to your CD player while hooking up your battery cables.

I just had a CDX-757MX just die a few days ago myself. My radio, amps, and other changers are still working. Could be an unfortunate coincidence.

SOURCE: My Crosley turntable is spinning too fast at 33RPM

Mismatch speeds on older turntables is normally due to either 1) a kink in the speed switch mechanism or 2) a hardening and slipping of the rubber drive wheel.
A very small motor with a chamfered shaft drives the rubber drive wheel, and the wheel is moved by the speed control up and down the drive shaft to produce various rpm speeds.
In your case, it's likely turning at 45rpm because it isn't settling onto the 33rpm part of the shaft.
Piddle with the speed control, then count the speed (number of turns in a minute) You'll figure it out!

Wurlitzer 1015 cd player that wont read the cds bot the drive motor spin real fast ???

That usually means the Laser can not pick up the CD surface. I have not worked on Wurlitzer CD but have worked on hundreds of other units and the technology is the same. It could be the platter distance is too far from the pickup or that one of the six laser pickup has burned out to allow correct tracking. There is a Focus OK signal that has to be satisfied first, then spin up and data reading of the TOC. f it can not do that they may spin wildly.

What does "invalid socket error" mean when trying to use Real Player audio

This is a error for mac os and it kicks in after updating to 10 .4.11 or so ..and it has something to do with the proxy settings ..in the player ..and from my knowledge it is not clear what it is wrong ..The good news is there is nothing wrong with the system but just does not supports the real player ..probably future updates will fix this ..

GPX C3960 MP3/CD player

There's a good possibility batteries may have tarnished or slighty corroded the battery terminals on your unit. When this happens, the batteries can't make good electrical contact through the terminals and therefore, can't deliver power to the unit. In some cases, it is easy to remove the tarnish/corrosion by filing it away using a fine grain sandpaper. I've done this many times with different units with good success. I'm not saying that this may be your problem, but It's something to look into.

Volume toggle switch broken

the only way you could try to fix it is if you opened it up and checked it out from the inside.  if nothing wrong inside, then it is something wrong with the motherboard and you will have to buy him a new one. but if you get it open then you can pop the toggle switch into place and it should be fine
