TV constantly goes off at any given time.

Try to connect external speakers then try external amplified speakers. In this way you localize problem and find out what to fix/replace.

Try and see if the AUX input works if you apply a signal to the input - DVD- and select LINE IN /AUX.
If so the TV mains sections are in good condition as the suspected area of fault can be in the front end RF section , possible in the tuner and VIF/SIF sections.
If not the main board can be faulty.

It can be either the LCD controller board, or worst case the LCD panel, symptom of bad panel is vertical lines from the top to the bottom of screen, and it will get more lines as time goes by.

This sounds like a proble with the unit's power supply in which case you could find a local tv repair shop and see how much they would charge to diagnose the issue.

We just repaired ours - same problems (did not replacc the 1000uF and 470uF Capacitors in secondary yet as ours were still OK, but the FET was killed by an arcing capacitor across a diode,
