You may have to go to your wireless connection properties then check to see if your laptop is set up to connect to any avaible network.

One reason I can think of for your problem is this: your TV detects several other protected WiFi networks (probably from your neighbors) in addition to your own, and it is likely that you entered the password for your network when trying to connect to another network. To check if this is the case and if you don't know your network's name (actually this is called the network's SSID), do the following: turn off your modem/router, then check what WiFi networks are detected by your TV. Write down the names of those networks. Turn your modem/router back on and see what networks are now detected by your TV. The new one on the list is your WiFI network's SSID. Make sure that you connect your TV to that new network.

Testimonial: "Thank you. Did not think of that. I had to switch my router from WEP to WAP and change my password to a shorter one."
SOURCE: My just purchased Luxor 42" smart TV keeps flashing up "wifi dongle romoved" "wifi dongle detected" when trying to connect to the Internet. It's suppose to have built-in wifi. Can someone please help.
Take it back to the store you bought it from, and ask them to fix it or replace it for you.

Could be a corrupt Wi-Fi receiver module, before you rip it apart if it’s not under warranty.
Buy an external USB Wi-Fi adapter and insert it into the TV see if that resolves the issue.
Unless your an electronic geek or you have the electrical diagram you really won’t know what the WiFi unit looks like or if it’s even a detachable board. It maybe built into the entire circuit.
