My ion 2 is frozen and will not respond to any button

Laptops do not have reset buttons ! If your laptop is frozen and won't respond hold down the power button for about 20 seconds and force it to shut down. Only do this if you have no other alternative as it is not good for the hard drive of the laptop. Try the three finger salute first CTRL- ALT - DEL and select task manager if windows system and see if any processes or applications have frozen and close them then select shutdown from the task manager if it is not frozen up.

Wait till the device runs out of battery (or pull out the battery) then try to reboot.

I have the same problem. I have the Sony Bravia KDL-40S4100. I can't get it off channel 2. It won't work with the remote, and it won't work on buttons on the top of the console either. The power button on the remote is still able to turn the TV on and off, but aside from that, everything else is frozen.

you will need to consult your owners manual, if the code is not in there then with the Vin number call a dealer and they will assit you.

I moved the "hold" button a few times back and forth and suddenly the screen started working again.

try removing the power feed to it and restarting the console . It may have locked up / frozen in a program

To get your 550 out of safe mode, follow these steps. 1. Remove the batteries. 2. Hold the '2' button down. 3. While still holding the '2' button down, replace the batteries. 4. The remote will boot into the normal functionality. Note: If the 'Off' button is held down while inserting the batteries, the remote will boot into 'Safe Mode'. Try to hold down the light button for a few seconds.

i had my GFs mp3 player and it was flashing green light, not solid, but still was frozen and couldnt even bring it up on my computer after plugging in the USB cable. but i just tapped the reset button on top right side, and it stopped flashing and turned off. i turned it back on and started to play normally. not sure if it will be the same since the light situation is different, but the reset button worked for me. good luck

IVE JUST SEEN ON MY PC THAT IF YOU HOLD THE A AND B BUTTONS TOGETHER WITH THE MENU BUTTON THAT MIGHT HELP, MAKE SURE YOU HOLD TOGETHER AND FOR AT LEAST 7-10 SECONDS. I WILL LOOK AND ASK AROUND TODAY FOR YOU  WHEN I GO OUT, CHEERS pedro2
