Why do I get untitled when opening google chrome search

Are you running ie8 ?

Internet Explorer 8 suffers a glitch involving high-contrast themes for the Windows desktop and other "theme-skinning" software. Themes change the way components of the Windows operating system appears. When Internet Explorer 8 is installed for the first time, certain themes such as "Classic" can trigger a defect in the browser which makes the toolbar and window frame appear to be solid black. The glitch is only temporary and is removable by switching themes.

Press "WIN" and "R" at the same time. Type "services.msc" into the "Run" Dialog box and Press "Enter". Scroll down the list of services until you see "Themes" service. Stop it by right-clicking it and selecting "Stop". This forces the visual effects for Windows to be disabled temporarily. Close any Internet Explorer windows that may be open. In the "Services" list, right-click "Themes" and select start. This will reset and re-enable visual effects for the Windows operating system. Right-click the desktop and select "Properties". In the "Properties" dialog box, click the "Themes" tab if it is not selected. On the drop down list, change the theme to an alternative item on the list. Click "Apply". Once the theme has changed, click the drop down list again and change it back to the original theme. Click "OK" to any open dialog boxes. Open up Internet Explorer to test the browser. If the toolbar appears normal, the issue has been resolved. If they still appear black, reboot the computer and test Internet Explorer again.

The text on my pc keeps going blue, how can I stop it?

Windows allows you to change the themes of your computer. This includes the wallpaper, the screensaver when your computer is idle, any noises it makes, and even the color of the toolbars and windows. Sometimes, however, when you restart your computer, the theme will revert back to the Windows default theme, which is called Aero. This can be because you have not disabled Aero, because your performance settings are using too much energy, or because your screen resolution is too high or low for the theme you are using.
Screen Resolution b> The higher your screen resolution, the sharper the images and text will appear. Sometimes, however, the of the wallpaper for the theme is not the same as the screen resolution. This can cause your theme to revert back to the default. To fix this, click the "Start" button. Then click "Control Panel." In the "Control Panel" window click "Adjust Screen Resolution" under "Appearance and Personalization." Select the resolution that is the same as your wallpaper. b> Performance Settings b> If your computer is running on high performance settings, your computer's energy will be used quickly and Windows may automatically change the screen saver to keep the energy from running to low. To change your performance settings, open the "Control Panel" and click "System and Security." Then click "Change Battery Settings" under "Power Options" and select "Power Saver" or "Balance." b> Disable Aero b> Aero is the default theme setting for Windows Vista and Windows 7. If you try to change your theme and it reverts back to Aero, it is because Aero is still not disabled. To disable Aero, right-click on your desktop and click "Personalize." A window of all the themes on your computer will open. You will see "My Themes," which are any themes you have created, and "Aero Themes" under it. To disable Aero, click "Save Theme" under "My Themes" to make your current settings default, or select one of the themes under "My Themes." This will make that theme the default. b> Troubleshooter b> If you still cannot figure out why Windows changes the theme back to the default after restarting, you can use Windows's built-in troubleshooter. The troubleshooter will find the source of the problem and automatically fix it for you. To use the troubleshooter for your theme, open the "Control Panel" and click "System and Security." Then click "Troubleshoot Common Problems." Under "Action Center," select "Appearance and Personalization." The troubleshooter will run. When you restart after it completes its action, your theme should stay the same. Hope this helps.

Nokia 6300 has stopped ringing anyone any ideas?

o.k. does it vibrate?
have you dropped it?

You may have accidentally put it on silent mode:

HERE IS HOW TO CHECK YOUR TONES OR PROFILE:

10. Settings
Profiles
Your phone has various setting groups called profiles, which you can customize with
ringing tones for different events and environments.
Select Menu > Settings > Profiles, the desired profile, and from the following
options:
● Activate — to activate the selected profile
● Personalise — to change the profile settings
● Timed — to set the profile to be active until an end time. When the time set for the
profile expires, the previous profile that was not timed becomes active.
Themes
A theme contains elements for personalizing your phone.
Select Menu > Settings > Themes and from the following options:
● Select theme — Open the Themes folder, and select a theme.
● Theme downloads — Open a list of links to download more themes.
Tones
You can change the tone settings of the selected active profile.
Select Menu > Settings > Tones. You can find the same settings in the Profiles menu.

I own a vista laptop and I cannot download skins, themes and some screensavers. Please advise.

How To Change The Theme In Windows Vista The one good thing about Windows Vista Themes is that customization is entirely possible. And when you can customize you can naturally personalize. That’s right. Vista allows you to select your own themes in a few easy steps. This allows you to tinker with your computer to make it more attractive and less monotonous – when you want it and how you want it.
A Windows Vista theme is simply a group of customized tweeks that span the entire gamut of menu appearance, icons, colors, fonts, screen savers, background, and yes – even paints!
Let’s start with your desktop because it’s the most logical place to start. To select a desktop theme, perform the following steps:
• go to your desktop. In any blank area, right click.
• scroll down to “personalize” and click.
• a dialogue box will come up that says: “Personalize appearance and sounds.” Right below it are seven headers. Choose “theme” which is the sixth item, or second to the last item.
• a dialog box appears with the title “theme settings.”
• under “theme”, you have a small box with a drop down menu. If you click on the arrow, Windows Vista gives you four choices: current theme, Windows Vista, Windows Classic and browse (the browse option allows you to get a theme that you saved in a specific folder. When you choose browse, Vista automatically takes you to your downloads folder where you saved the theme).
• when you click on any of the four choices, you get a preview of the theme. Choose one by clicking “apply” or “OK”. If you don’t like any of what you see and decide to stick to what you have, simply click “cancel” or close the dialog box.
Windows Vista Themes: Few Things Worth Noting
• Windows Vista does not come with a large pre-built bundle of themes. This shouldn’t stop you from creating your own. You can still change the background (or wallpaper), colors, screen saver and how your menu will look. Save what you’ve created by clicking the Save As button. This button is in the dialog box we mentioned earlier called “Theme Settings.”
• Don’t confuse Windows Vista themes with the pre-built themes in Word 2007, Power Point 2007 and Excel 2007. Each of these programs has its own themes bundle.
• If you happen to like a theme you saw on the Web, make sure that your virus program is up-to-date before you download a theme. Some viruses are disguised as themes so be careful.
Remember that even if Word, Excel, and PowerPoint already have predefined document themes, you can create your own by customizing an existing document theme and then saving it as a custom document theme.
If you’re really into themes and like to create your own for fun, then you must be a “skinning fan” (themes are sometimes called skins). According to Andy Rathbone, noted Windows expert, you can use a third party program like WindowBlinds and can download any theme they have at a very modest fee. What’s even better is some of these themes are free. By typing “Windows Vista Themes” in any search engine, you’ll get a whole array of company names that specialize in Vista themes. But like we said, be careful when downloading.
