If you have technical knowledge, you would have to replace the two lamps that fulfill that mission, respect the values of the lamps, but, go to a specialized technical service

Hola The average guy, por lo que comentas, que no puedes ver lo que te indica el display, posiblemente se debe que se han quemado las lamparas que iluminan por detr?s al display
Si tienes conocimientos t?cnicos, tendr?as que reemplazar las dos lamparas que cumplen esa misi?n, respeta los valores de las lamparas, sino, dir?gete a un servicio t?cnico especializado
Te adjunto el manual de servicio del Fisher RS883 que es de caracter?sticas similares
Espero que puedas ver las estaciones de radio que sintonizas

SOURCE: I have a problem with time display on my Bose CD/Clock Radio.
I found the answer on the Bose website in the manual for the radio. While the radio is on, hold down Alarm Setup and preset 1 at the same time. That will set it so the clock displays. If you do the same thing but hold down preset button 2, that will display the radio info all the time.

Het is al een paar weken verder, maar ik ben eruit: C161 en C162 (100uF/35V) in de voeding zijn slecht.

et gaat dus om een VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) die geen gloeispanning krijgt. Het vervangen van C161 en C162 lost het probleem helemaal op.

Symptome=Tuner-Display zeigt nichts an, sonst Tuner OK.
Defekt=C161 und C162 (100µF,35 V) auf der Tunerplatine ersetzen.

Wenn bei dem Sony-Tuner RDS EON ST-EX100 (z.B. zu der Anlage Sony MHC-EX5, aber auch MHC-EX 70) pünktlich eine Woche nach Ende der Garantiezeit die Beleuchtung im Display wegfällt und man deshalb leider keine Sender mehr programmieren kann, dann handelt es sich vermutlich um eine fiese Soll-Bruchstelle.
Auf der Platine des Tuners sind zwei Kondensatoren zu schwach ausgelegt und gehen zwangsweise früher oder später kaputt. Die Reparatur ist ganz einfach. Man kauft zwei neue Kondensatoren (100µF,35 V) - kosten nur ein paar Cent! - und besorgt sich einen Lötkolben. Dann schraubt man den Tuner auf, entfernt auf der Platine die Kondensatoren C161 und C162 (die sind namentlich gekennzeichnet) und ersetzt sie durch die neuen.

the radio display is lighted from the back by a miniature bulb, this is the problem, the filament is almost burned out or the bulb is loose in the socket, to replace this bulb u must remove the radio (requires special radio removal tool kit, about $6.00) and then the top cover off the radio, the bulb socket twists into the back of the display, you can buy the bulb at any parts store for about $2.00
