I have purchased an Audiovoxx 6600 that is currently on Telus and want to use it on Fido. Is there a way to switch it over?

    it wasn't purchased from a store - it was purchased from a Telus customer.

Yes...it needs to be decoded from the provider you use...and after that will accept any sim card ..from any provider..including prepay ,,I can not point you to a certain decoding software ..and there are no free software for this anyway ...so it is not worth buying one for just one use...so ..the solution is to locate in your area someone that does this kinda work ..

How to unlock SAMSUNG HYPE (SGH-A256)
This phone can be unlocked via unlock codes. I am have a hype and got it unlocked from rogers to fido. If you are going to put it on telus you will need to buy a telus sim card and put it in the hype once it is unlocked. I used www.bestcellunlock.com. It was fast, easy, and great customer service. The code only costed me 15 bucks and I got it in the next hour. Hope this helps!
