SOURCE: Hello there. My Karcher pressure washer motor

The valve that admits more water to be compressed is stuck. It is likely the O-Rings on it need replacing. No water to the pump, no pressure!

The motor will stop when pressure is up to the designed pressure.

I get hose pressure from my Brute 2600 psi, 6.75hp power washer when the engine is not running, but when I start the engine, I get no additional motor pressure.

The pressure you have when the motor is not running is supply pressure through the unit. When you start the motor it will build up pressure then shut the pump action down until you pull the trigger of the gun. When you release the trigger the pressure drops to zero . This happens through a relief valve that the pressure hose is connected to. If what I stated is not happening then there is a problem with insufficient water supply to the machine or a problem in the relief valve.

Gun leaking when i use my simoniz 1900 pressure washer

The simoniz 1900 gun is very poorly designed. It is held together by a dozen small screws.

First open the gun by taking all the small screws out. No worries, it is much more simpler and worse constructed than a 5-year-old toy gun.

After opening the gun, you will see there are only two parts inside. One at the front connecting to the wand, and one at the back connecting to the hose. The trigger is looped over the joint part.

Make sure the back part is firmly fitted into the slot properly, otherwise it leaks. And be careful don't lose the spring, because there is no object to hold it in place.

Now all you need to do is to put all one dozen small screws back in. Don't over tight the screws, otherwise they will punch through the plastic cover.

Now your simoniz 1900 gun is fixed but it leaves you wonder which 10-year-old designed it?

I have a honda 2600 pressure washer. After running fine for a couple of seconds the water will stop flowing out the tip. It is receiving water, but will not flow it to the pressure hose. I even disconnected...

This happens when air gets inside the hose. An air bubble of sorts is in the hose and will not build pressure until you blow the air out of the line. Start the pressure washer, turn on the water. pull the trigger on the gun. It will spitter and spatter and come to a trickle. release the trigger on the wand. Pull the trigger again and it will eventually work it self out.

Hy; I have a karcher 580 I had to replace gun complete so I bough a simoniz xe01-001 at simoniz.osirus.ca/ for your info 69$ complete ***.I install NOW I get pulse up & down ONLY when trigger is press...

Most likely problem is that the tip is too small causing Unloader to bypass or restriction/debris in tip. Install clean tip of proper size or 1/2 size larger (example from 2.5 gpm to 3 gpm ) to prevent slow pulse. If tip is clean and /or larger tip does not help, Unloader may be failing if the unit has a good deal of hours or if machine is left running for long periods of time without spraying. Try lubing the internal parts by removing both hoses and installing a short piece of water hose to intake and slowly inject light oil into pump by pulling on the rope slowly to **** in the oil until it comes out the pressure side. This will displace all the water from inside the pump. Leave overnite. There is a kit sold on ebay to help facilitate the infusion of oil but no need to get fancy. Unloader repair kit is usually available if all else fails and is easy to install. Good holidays

I bought this about 2 months ago i have used it twice in the middle of rinsing my truck off the high pressure got really faint now it is not spraying hard at all what could be going wrong

We had problems like that before with our power washer. The pumps go bad. Even on new equipment. What's your warranty look like?

Another thing is the water gets stopped up.
Remove gun and hose.
Turn on machine and see if you get full pressure shooting out of pump.
Next, check the incoming water line.
Most power washers have a screen washer >>> replace screen washer, then fire up again without hose attached.
Gun triggers also fail. I think we had to replace guns when they went bad.
As a rule, I always read the manual front and back.
There are interesting things in the manual that neither of us know right now.
The manual may give you a hint.

If you need more help, answer back and I will look up the manual if available and see if together we can troubleshoot the problem further.

S1600 Simoniz gun - I took it apart and I have a spring left - where does it go? I need a schematic or something.

There are no schematics available because the manufacturer doesn't sell parts for the gun. The spring usually goes right into the end of the hose, then the little bullet like valve follows. Did you know you can buy a new gun for about $22.00 Canadian?

No pressure

It is probably air locked....Here's what you need to do. Connect the garden hose, and HP hose, but not the gun. Turn on the water, and let it run while you make sure that there are no high points in the garden hose that can trap air....Work the hose so that any air is displaced through the pressure washer. Continue in this manner through the HP hose. Shut off the water and connect the gun. Turn the hose back on, and operate the gun for several minutes, pulling the trigger and releasing. This alternately allows the water pressure to build up on house pressure and then to depressure, pulling residual air from the system. Release the trigger, and start the machine. Usually, this is enough to get full washing pressure. If it is very difficult to start, you can hold the trigger down on the gun and pull the start cord at the same time. Holding the trigger down acts as an unloader, making the starting easier.
Hope that this helps, --W/D-- please feel free to rate this solution! Thanx!
