check whether the oil pressure sensor is working properly,display shows the correct pressure or not,otherwise replace or clean the pressure transmitter
Fluid Level Sensor-----or meaning low oil pressure or most famous just low oil period may need oil change but fluid level sensor could be bad also...hope this helps
Hello Martin, Your generator might have a low oil pressure shutdown switch. First check the oil level. If oil level is low, fill oil to proper level. If oil level is fine, I would install an auxiliary oil pressure gauge . If oil pressure is normal, I would change the oil sender unit. If oil pressure is low, I would change the oil pump.
If the oil level is correct then you might be up for an oil pump. Some engines have an automatic cut-out for low oil pressure or high temperature as a safety mechanism to protect the engine from massive damage.
