Light is just a reminder. Not connected to anything. Supposed to go out after one starts the dryer. If all else is working fine, just ignore.

SOURCE: Dryer won't work, Check Filter light is on

I had exactly the same problem with my newish LG dryer. I deduced that the dryer's computer essentially needed to be rebooted. I pulled the plug for a minute or so, then plugged it back in. It works perfectly now.

SOURCE: Clean filter light stays on LG TD-C70045E Dryer

I had the same problem. It actually has nothing to do with the filters. If your dryer sounds like it wants to start the capacitor is blown.

SOURCE: LG td-c70040e tumble dryer Clean Filter indicator will not go off

There is an access flap below the door on the bottom left.  Open the flap turn blue levers, take plastic cover off (there may be a bit of water there).  Clean the inside.  Problem solved

SOURCE: LG dlg5988W Gas Dryer - flashing "clean filter" light

i got the same problem and no repair man could help . i think i just got mine fixed 6-15-09 .what you do is go behind the dryer , remove the air duct and then remove the pipe that is inside the machine by removing one screw . this will give you access inside the machine .first clean as much as you can of the lint inside by vacuuming it . if you look to the left you will see 2 wires with a black button in the middle this is the ignitor ,clean it good because i think the dirt is not allowing it to light up . i did that and mine is working but the cooling light is still on .

SOURCE: dryer keeps stopping - check filter light on

For Sgt 48 - You are not reading the original message very well - The original help question didn't say they saw check filter at the beginning or end of a dry cycle they indicated that the dryer STOPS MID DRY and says check filter - this is not a friendly reminder, it is indicating something is wrong and the filter needs to be completely cleaned out (and past the filter down in the interior of the dryer) and if that does not work then you need to also check the dryer hose for kinks, lint build up, etc. Lastly, reset the dryer by unplugging it (or flipping the breaker) for a minute or so and hold down on the start/pause button for 8 seconds while it is unplugged (this will reset the error code for check filter, among other things).

My LG True Steam gas dryer continues to flash check filter and there is not heat even after cleaning vents. Suggestions?

Check filter is just a reminder. Not connect to any sensor, etc. I would guess your igniter is bad. A common issue. Check out repairclinic.com or appliance parts pros.com for repair videos.

Check filter blinking on LG dryer and dryer won't start

There is a sensor at the bottom of the filter slot and it could be bad or plugged with lint. The whole service manual is here: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/974184/Lg-Dlex5101w.html?page=45#manual

It is going to show you the page with that sensor, but you can look at all the pages, I suggest page 23 for diagnostic tests.

Gas lg steam dryer DLGX7188RM cleaned filter , vent tubing, unplugged, still check filter light flashing , hit power goes straight to cool down .

the check filter light is just a reminder. it is not connected to a sensor. goes out when you start the next cycle so your issue is not connected to that.

What do I do when I get a Check Filter Message on my LG Dryer DLEX8000V?

Hi sounds like it's a new dryer, I'd say the filter's full of fluff and needs cleaning before you burn it out..... Good luck....

Model: LG Steam Dryers DLEX2501R Problem: Shows "Check Filter", while dryer still does the job

do you mean a condenser dryer?, as steam is water doesn't dry anything to well, if it is a condenser dryer the check filter or clean filter light should always come on towards the end of the cycle (varies between models some have both clean filter and empty tank lights on at end of cycle just as a reminder to do so and some don't have any lights), it is simply a reminder for you to clean the filter after each use unless this is something that has only just recently happened

Your LG Did you get this problem fixed?

This is normal. This is just a reminder to check the filter at the beginning of each load. The LED is not connected to any sensors and is just there as a reminder only.
