Go to settings---Date and time--->set your time and date and your time zone.And you can activate automatic update after that.So you no need to set the time again and again

if you want to set the date and time on your samsung, do the following steps..
1. press menu
2. select settings
3. select date and time and slide your hand up to select for the options and set your phone.

On the main menu select Settings, then Time & Date.
Set Time zone updating to Manual.
Then SCROLL down i.e. drag the menu upwards (this is the bit that many don't realise.)
Then you will be able to set the time & date.
Go to "Settings", then Option 4 ("Time and date"). Make sure the 'Time zone updating" option is set to either "Prompt first" or "Manual only" (NOT "Automatic"). Then try changing the date.

Use this menu to set the current time and date on
your phone.
• Home zone: set the home time zone. Select the
city that corresponds to your home zone. To set
daylight saving time, select Set daylight saving
time.
• Time: enter the current time.
• AM/PM: select AM or PM in 12-hour time format.
• Time format: select the time format.
• Date: enter the current date.
• Date format: select the date format.
• Auto update: activate the auto time update
feature. Your phone will read the MCC (Mobile
Country Code) from the network and automatically
update the current time for the country that you
are in when you travel abroad.
