What year is my sewing machine serial number EJ682291

Assuming you have a Singer sewing machine, you can find serial number lookup tables here: http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-sewing-machine-serial-number-database.html . The EJ682291 is a model 99K that started manufacture after May 19 1954.

I hope this helps.

Bobbin is not picking up stitches. Also, it has a red cotton / fluff inside the spring of the bobbin. Should this be there?

Your bobbin and bobbin case should be clean of anything except the current thread. Also, be sure there is no other build-up of thread, lint, dust in the bobbin area, including the feed dogs.

Verify the machine is threaded correctly, the bobbin is inserted and turning the proper direction in the bobbin case.

Also, might try installing a brand new needle. If it still will not pick up the bobbin thread, then the machine may be out of time requiring service.

A c 266070 singer serial number model

This is most likely a Singer 99 or 99k. The electric model is worth $50-$100. The hand crank is worth a little more, about $100-$175. Search on ebay and you'll see many examples. It's a great machine and all manuals and parts are readily available. 24903712-vjnjo2wyrcl1cm1yfsxdu1g5-4-0.png

The handle on my singer sewing machine 99k wont turn

Try removing any lint or thread that could make such problems. One problem that I've had in the past was a seized motor. This is easy to fix with the right tools. Go to work :)

I bought a Singer 328K at a second hand shop. I cleaned and oiled it but the motor just hums and runs very slowly. I think the belt may need tightened or replaced. Is it possible to do it myself and...

The Singer 328K "style-o-matic" is a Class 66 sewing machine with a solid handwheel. Like the 328, and most style 66 machines, this one takes Singer Motor Belt # 193077. Any singer vendor should be able to help you and as of this writing (2010) the part runs around $10. In case you have a parts machine around or find vendors less knowledgeable here are some other machines using the same belt: Pfaff 330 Series Singer 127 Singer 128 Singer 15-88 Singer 15-90 Singer 15-91 Singer 185 Singer 185K3 Singer 206 Singer 206K Singer 223 Singer 27 Vibrating Shuttle Singer 306K Singer 306W Singer 319K Singer 327K Singer 327K Singer 328K Style-O-Matic (YOURS) Singer 329K Singer 66 Singer 66-1 Singer 66-14 Singer 66-16 Singer 66-18 Singer 66-24 Singer 66-4 Singer 66-6 Singer 66-8 Singer 99 Class Singer 99-13 Singer 99-31 Singer 99K
Hope this helps!
