Maytag Neptune model#MAH8700AWW Serial#13844242GX had clothes in washer and it did not get all water out of them. Some water sitting in bottom of washer that will not go out even when I spin with my hand. Now I set cycle and turn on and there is just a hum. Will not do anything else. Clicks light it is going into cycle but nothing happens.

there is a small button on the inside edge where the door closes, it was broken off since there was nothing there I didnt see it.It was only a hole where the button was.So I had to get a new button and replace it.

if you remove the oval cover in the back of the mach,you will find the pump.there are 2 hose clamps to remove.usually you will find change stuck in the pump.remove the screws on the bracket that holds down the pump and you can take the entire pump out...good luck

Maytag Appliances are ****!! Don't buy Maytag. Spent $2500.00 in 2005 on Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. They have been nothing but trouble. Washer has water running in tub constantly. Recall on ground and recall on footing. Dryer making loud noise when drying clothes.The Maytag man is dead and gone.
