SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash Model 665 Dishwasher

Dishwashers which are properly installed and regularly used won't normally have a problem with bad odors. Check the following: ?Was the drain hose brought in at the top of the cabinet, or down near the floor? it must be 34" from the floor. ?Do you run the unit at least once every 2 days? -Run a cycle with a quart of vinegar to clean the tub and pump. ?Does the disposal tend to back up slightly when the dishwasher drains? Drain may be clogged. -Don't use gel detergent! ?Check your water softener(If so equipped) These can cause foul odors in the water supply if not properly balanced or maintained Good luck!

SOURCE: refrigerator smells strange

I may have found the problem. I pulled out the Fridge again. The odor was in the water pan.

What I found was that the cooling grills in the front was caked with dust. I vacumed this area but it was not until I got down with a flash light and saw this issue. I took a small duster that uses static to pull the dust out. There was a lot. I will see if the smell starts up again.

SOURCE: Kenmore side-by-side has CHEMICAL SMELL ODOR inside.

You have a freon leak. With this only being 5 years old, iot's probably worth repairing, unless you are just able to buy a new one. I would have a local tech come out and check it before tossing it. I hope this answers your question and gives you some resolution. I hope to work with you again, so please record our name, email and phone number for future needs. Have a great evening!

Can flour go bad

If it has a rancid (or any other spoiled) odor, it's spoiled. The flour should have a natural, fresh smell, unless its container wasn't sealed tightly and the flour picked up some odors from other food. ... Flour does go bad and that's perfectly normal.

Chemical smell in kitchen. is it coming from my brand new refrigerator?

the odors are normal for some new refrigerators, its due to the type of plastic used, let it cool and put coffee inside both compartments or baking soda as these 2 items will remove odors, after the odors gone continue to keep a box of baking soda in each compartment to control all food or plastic odors, this should help remove your odor problem

Food rotted in our refridgerator and the smell is in the seal can the seal be replaced or taken off to clean

should come off if it is not glued. it is secured in a groove or has little knobs that stick in holes, you can tell if you just pull it away a little. wash it with bleach/water really good, along with the fridge interior. the odor will go away!

What causes the pungent odor in dishwasher? It seems that the all the water are not being dried

Hi, this is a very common problem and can be sorted out easily, rather than explain it here i include some weblinks that explain it all in detail. plus my favorite below.

http://www.mrscleanusa.com/en/cleaning-tips/kitchen/clean-dishwasher.html

Here is one that takes the smells, hard water stains etc out of your dishwasher and plastic and glass ware. Fill up dishwasher, with plastic glasses, glass ware, dishware. No metal, of any kind! anything you want sparkly and clean.

No detergent! Fill up a small bowl at the Bottom of the dishwasher with vinegar, 1 cup of white. Run the cycle, do not dry. Fill up with 1 cup of bleach, run again. This takes care of all hard water stains, germs that are causing smell etc. Also check for food at the bottom of the dishwasher.
The site below explains WHY you get those smells.

My dishwasher smells like rotten eggs. Help!

Had a similar problem and started looking around inside the door. I tried to figure out how to remove the plastic air vent cover on the inside of the door (left side). I couldn't figure out how to remove it. So, we purchased a dishwasher cleaner at Lowe's ($4) and tired running it through the machine to see if it would correct the odor problem. It didn't. Somehow the "little lady" did manage to remove it (used a damn table knife of all things) twisted and popped the plastic air vent off. When it was removed she found the obvious problem, black foul smelling mold was growing under the plastic air vent that was radiating its terrible smell into the kitchen through the dishwasher door kitchen side vent . She cleaned the inside vent and the odor problem has left. I guess I'll never live this down, but I must admit that my wife solved the problem. Try this solution and see if it solves your problem. Let us know how you make out!

Odor from Maytag dryer

Have you cleaned your vent lately? It might be excessively outgassing an ammonia smell because some plastic part that is getting too hot. If the vent is making it run hot or not exhausting it might stink up the room. Otherwise, it might just be stinky plastic. I don't know anything about your specific model, but I had a bread maker that was the source of a garlic & ****-like ammonia smell on the top cover after the plastic turned yellow from heat & age. Not a good feature for something that makes food and lives in the kitchen.

Ice and Refrigerator and Freezer smell like alcohol chemical

I believe that you might have a coolant leak causing the chemical odor. You really should get it checked out by a fridge repair-person because it's not healthy to breathe in the fumes.
