Im sure you forgot to say wifi , right?
you meant router sure
it is your router or is owned by your internet service provider.
what ISP do you have, internet service provider,
do all cell phones fail with wifi , I presume you are at home.
do all laptops fail to connect.
these facts and simple tests prove what is wrong.
no laptop model stated no OS stated windows , xp,vista,w7/8/10?

my unstated laptop can not connect with wifi to my router at home.
I bet this above is what you meant,. right?

Can't configure the network with ethernet cable

Hey, you're almost there. The connection between the no-wireless PC over ethernet to the DAP-1360 Repeater is fine. The reason it can't connect to your LAN or the internet, however, is that the repeater isn't actually repeating your Ofir network, it is instead creating it's own, completely isolated wireless network (Ofir_EXT).

The D-Link setup and documentation is confusing, and doesn't have proper instructions for the repeater setup.

Rerun the setup wizard, setup as a repeater, then select manual configuration method.

Now, enter the wireless network name of your the network you want to extend (in this case, Ofir). Then enter the same security and password etc. for Ofir in the following fields, just like you were connecting to Ofir from a smartphone or laptop.
Once that is finished, you should be up and running. If things worked, you should NOT see any new wireless network. There should be Ofir and just Ofir. Wireless repeaters work invisibly, you'll still connect to the same network like you always did, but now it will have much improved range thanks to the DAP-1360. The computer entherneted to it should be networked on the wireless LAN and have internet access after this as well.

Good luck, I hope my instructions were clear. Wifi networking is easy, it's understanding all the manufacturers less-than-intuitive software that makes it hard.

Switching on my new hi grade laptop it read sis191 pxe bootroom v1.3 use bev/bbs pxe-e61 ; media test failure , check cable pxe-mof ; exiting sis191 pxe bootroom

Hi, You have to change the boot order in the system BIOS. i think it is set to try to boot from the network first before it tries to boot from the Hard Drive
You will have to change it to boot from hard drive first.

I'm not 100% but try it.
I hope I have helped you, if you need more help, let me know.

My laptop can't find the SSID

HI all, A couple months have passed since I posted this problem. I found my own answer after weeks of asking for help. The hawking Reg 1 repeater. Here's the answer. THE REG1 REPEATER ONLY WORKS WORKS WITH ROUTERS THAT OPERATE IN WDS MODE. Not all routers can. Check to seeif the router you are extending is capable of this mode. I tried 2 differnet routers, neither worked. Finally when I got one that spoke WDS. It worked like a dream. Why did the directions not say that!!!!!

Blue tooth setup

The laptop has to be equipped with a bluetooth adapter (internal or external) for file transfer to occur.

If it's a PC, then an external bluetooth adapter will be needed.

The handset also needs to be setup so that bluetooth is ON and is setup to communicate with the desktop/laptop.

Hope this helps :) Kindly leave a rating. Thanks...

Setting up a WAP54G as a wireless repeater with a WRT54G

Requirements for WAP54G & WRT54G Repeater Mode function: * WRT54G: Firmware 2.02.2 or higher * WAP54G: Firmware 2.06 or higher Go to http://www.linksys.com/download to download the latest firmware upgrades for both devices. . Accessing the Router?s Setup Page: Open a Web Browser (either Internet Explorer or Netscape). 1. Type the IP Address of the Router into the Address Bar (192.168.1.1 is the default IP Address). 2. Click GO or press the [Enter] key. The User Name and Password prompt will appear. 1. Leave the User Name field blank. 2. Type admin in for the Password (the default Password). 3. Click OK or press the Enter key. The Router?s Setup page will open: * Click on the Status Tab. * Click on the Wireless sub tab. Write down the Wireless MAC Address and the Channel number values located on this page. If the Encryption Function is Disabled, go to the WAP54G Repeater Setup section below. If Encryption Function is Enabled: Note: WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) is not yet compatible with wireless repeater mode. You must use WEP Encryption if you wish to use security options with this configuration. To gather WEP encryption information, click on the upper Wireless tab, then the Wireless Security sub tab. Write down the Passphrase. WAP54G Repeater Setup Be sure that you have the WAP54G plugged directly into one of the WRT54G?s numbered ports for the duration of the setup. Accessing the WAP54G?s Setup Page: Open a Web Browser (either Internet Explorer or Netscape). 1. Type the IP Address of the WAP54G into the Address Bar (192.168.1.245 is the default IP address). 2. Click GO or press the Enter key. 3. The User Name and Password prompt will appear. 4. Leave the User Name blank. 5. Type in admin for the Password (the default password). 6. Click OK or press the [Enter] key. The WAP54G?s Setup page will open. 1. Set the Channel value to the same channel as the WRT54G router that was obtained from earlier steps. 2. If WEP encryption was enabled on the WRT54G: * Select Enable for the Wireless Security option. * Click on the Edit Security Settings button and enter the same Passphrase as the one of the WRT54G router that you recorded. Click Generate to populate the WEP key fields. * Click Save Settings to save your changes and close the encryption window. Click Save Settings to save your changes on the Setup page. 3. Next, click on the AP Mode tab. * Select the Wireless Repeater option. * Enter the WIRELESS Mac Address from the WRT54G that you recorded. (Disregard the fact that the page asks to ?Enter the LAN MAC ADDRESS?). Click Save Settings to save your changes. Close your web browser. You can now place the WAP54G Access Point in another nearby location (with its power adapter plugged in) so that it can repeat the wireless signal that it receives from the WRT54G. Notes: * The ?SSID? of the WAP54G does not have to be the same as the WRT54G. This can be used for initial configuration; using a different SSID will enable testing of network connectivity, and will show that the WRT54G is associated with the WAP54G. * If MAC Filtering is configured on the WRT54G, no extra configuration is needed. Wireless clients will still need to be added the MAC Filter list of the WRT54G, but the WAP54G does not have to on the list.
