Question about The Kitchen Appliances - Others

I have a 2004 Savage Bros. FireMixer-14. All of the sudden the kettle doesn't work. We replaced the fuses and it worked for a minute and then nothing. What do you think is wrong?

Fixed it!! The product temperature was just too low for the kettle temperature when we were cooking it off.

SOURCE: Blower stopped working.

Heater blower motor resister is bad, or blower motor its self is bad. Run 12 volts from an outside sourse to blower motor, if it runs its resister if not its blower motor.

SOURCE: kettle does not heat up

Just had the same problem. One of the thermostats is probably bad. In my case I replaced both and the heating elements because it was more cost effective. Aside from the drive motor not much else can go wrong. In my case it was worth the $200.00 to replace these items instead of $825.00 for a new kettle.

SOURCE: Problems with Breville SK500XL Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Kettle

There's a thermal cutout that trips if the regular safety switch isn't enough. According to the manual, if the thermal cutout trips you have to send it back to Breville for servicing.

That may be what happened, if just letting it cool down and trying again didn't work.

2004 Suzuki Savage 650 will not turn over

Hi, Phillip before testing any electrical component in the Starting Circuit it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage, the battery is faulty and must be replaced. AGM type batteries fall into this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Engine Run Switch is "FAULTY" or corroded.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter.
5. Bank angle sensor needs a reset or is faulty.
6. FOB battery low or dead.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
8. Faulty starter button.
9. Faulty kickstand, clutch, neutral safety switch.
10. Security alarm needs a reset.
11. Starter relay, solenoid, starter motor or circuit wiring faulty.
12. Starter armature or field coils have failed.
13. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
14. Faulty ignition relay.
15. The electric starter is working but starter clutch has failed.
16. Check for engine trouble codes.

My kettle is all other sudden not heating up water

Sounds like the heating element has burned out or is shorted, they don't repair this type of appliance they just replace it.

My Hamilton beach 40996 kettle Suddenly it stopped boiling. The on button lights up and reads temp but never boils. It worked and then suddenly stopped. Any chance this is a program problem somehow?

What a crazy over-complicated kettle!
Disc element kettles do tend to have a limited life that is a small fraction of the lifespan of standard kettle elements. The ones I have had usually only last until the guarantee has expired. To discover whether it is the kettle or the base it will be necessary to use a multimeter to check the supply from the base.

Sounds like vaporlock. Try insulating the fuel line, especially around hot engine parts.

I have a Cuisinart CPK17 won't heat water and all the blue lights are flashing

I had the same issue with all lights blinking, but nothing else working (buttons would not respond or beep). I took the base off and used a small pair of pliers to bend the contact as Scott Cowen mentioned. Worked like a charm.

All interior dome light are out on 2004 quest, fuse checked are good

The interior light are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM).
Check the fuse for the BCM. If the fuse is OK, then try to disconnect the car battery for about 10 minutes to reset the BCM. If resetting the BCM doesn't work you may have to replaced it.

Did you check fuse. That was the problem I had and I just replaced the fuse and it worked fine. You have to take off the cover.

Red light's on... but no hot water!

OK, inside the unit there are three items, the heating element, thermostat, and thermal fuse. What has happened is the element got too hot and the thermal fuse opened. There is no reset button. In some cases you may run across a defective heating element or thermostat but its not common. The fix would probably be replacement of the thermostat and thermal fuse. For this, you would have to contact a small appliance repair center in your area.
