Garnet, I am wondering if something is causing the oil to "gel".
I remember years ago that #1 & #2 oil was mixed in cold weather to be thin enough to flow properly so the burner would work. If cold weather is not a factor, then I would suspicion that the oil is not good quality, thus causing you problems of clogging. Are you sure that there is no water from condensation in the tank? Additives might help to clear the situation.

SOURCE: i got gas leak coming from the fuel line

First off, what kind of vehicle do you have? I assume it is one that has an electric fuel pump in the gas tank, so that is what my answer will be geared to.
On the gas tank there are several lines. The most important ones for this conversation are the ones that deliver fuel to the engine and the one that returns the excess fuel back to the tank. They are usually different in size.
The larger one delivers the fuel and the smaller one returns the excess fuel back to the tank. Either one may be the culprit in this scenero. The tank is usually connected by a high pressure flexible fuel line to a stainless fuel line resembeling a brake line. At times this flex line may develope a leak for varrious reasons. It could be something rubbing against the line, it could be the crimped connection went bad and is leaking, etc. If it is your flex line, which it probably is there is a repair kit you can purchase to fix it. I have only been able to find this repair kit at NAPA. I've tried many auto parts stores and they are the only ones that carry it. The use of it is very simple actually. You find the leak in your line, which by the way is harder than it sounds and usually involves removing the gas tank. In which case you will need a special tool to disasemble the gas line from the tank. Once the leak is located you cut the line. You then have to place the remaining flex hose in boiling hot water for at least 10 seconds, which makes it soft and insert a splice fiting into it. When the line cools, it will shrink tight on the connector. You the do the same with the hose that came with the repair kit. Then do the same with the other end and install the fitting which connects to the gas tank. You should now be in business.
BTW. I have to do this very thing tomorrow.
Good Luck! and let me know if this helps you.

SOURCE: Seems to be clogged. Is there anyway to flush or

Try putting white vinegar in it, and letting it soak. For more cleaning, you can recirculate the white vinegar back through the machine, but strain it through a coffee filter first to remove any sediment that you break free. Once you're satisfied with your cleaning, flush the tea maker with pots of fresh water, until no vinegar can be detected by taste or smell.

SOURCE: Increase water in toilet tank-low flush Toto toilet

Yes adjust the float level to raise the amount of water in the tank, If you have a float that is a ball around the tank you will have to turn the water off and remove the hose from the tank and remove the nut then pull the water float device out and you will see a clap on the bottom of the float you will turn the float base so that it gets longer, increase it by two inchess so that you increase water flow. Reinstall into the tank hook it all back up and leave the lid off turn on the water and watch the water level rise be sure the float shuts the water off before it over flows, if it starts to over flow then fush it to bring the water down giving you enought time to shut off the water valve.
There is a problem adding low water systems to older septic systems. The septic pipe settles in the ground over time and may cause a ~~~ in the pipe thus causeing blockage. For future reference you can add a one gallon bottle of water in the tank like a milk jug or a used up bottle of puerified water that you have drank and this will decrease it by one gallon per flush. Hope this helps. If you need more asstance just posttothis reply!

SOURCE: Gas not getting to grill

Two things could be wrong. Tank valve could be bad, not allowing gas to flow. Or regulator could be bad not allowing gas to pass. Try taking the tank off and pushing a screwdriver into the end of it with the tank open, if gas doesn't come out tank valve is bad, valve has a spring in it to shut down if starts leaking. If tank valve is good regulator must be bad. I am leaning more towards to the tank valve.

SOURCE: i think the fuel pump on my beckett burner is

As you face the burner, mounted in the unit, the oil line feed in on the left side. There is a cap, held on by 4 7/16" bolts. Inder the cap, there is a screen. You would be best to get a screen kit, available from the same place you get your nozzle, as it will come with a new gasket.

Shut off the oil. Remove the four bolts, pull the old screen, clean the housing (I use rags and WD40) and re-asssemble. If is is really bad, you should remove the nozzle assembley and flush the oil line to the nozzle, as well.

THe oil filter, screen and nozzle should be replaced at least once a year.

How do you reset the type control/restart an older Beckett burner after oil ran out? Oil has been added and the lines bled. However the burner will not stay on after hitting reset

First, mop up the unspent oil in the combustion chamber from any previous relight tries. Now, make sure the cad cell lense is clear. Did you change your oil filter and nozzle? These become easily clogged by the sludge at the bottom of your tank when you run out of oil.

Beckett burner starts and ignites but flame goes out slowly then get a lot of smoke why is this happening

It sounds like your filter is clogged. In the line from the oil tank to the burner there should be an in line filter. It is usually canister shaped and has a felt filter element inside. Shut valve off at the tank and loosen bolt on the top of the canister to remove bottom section of canister and access filter replace filter ( most hardware stores carry them) and reassemble canister. There is a small screw on top of the canister. Remove this to let air out when you open valve to let oil fill canister. When oil comes out shut off valve and reinstall screw. Reopen valve again and you should be ready for burner test. Setting a pan under the filter canister is a good idea to catch any oil from disassembling filter. Hope this Helps.

Power flush

You have a clogged filter, clogged lines or clogged pump. Did you try to do this with the oil cold? If so, the pump has to work MUCH harder and may not pump.

Clean out the oil from the entire system, looking for clogs. Manually filter the oil and pour it back into the system and try it again.

My oil fired boiler wont stay fired i cleaned it out it will run for about 30seconds then shut

This can be a result of several things. The most common problem is the photo sensor. If there is a flame, and the photo sensor can't detect it - the furnace will shut down. If the furnace has run dirty and sooty - there's probably black soot covering the sensor, blocking the light of the flame. Remove, wipe the lens, and reassemble. Try for ignition again. Keep in mind, after three unsuccessful starts, the primary control will shut down in lock out mode. This is to prevent an additional start as the chamber is probably soaked with heating oil. It should be cleaned completely before attempting ignition again.

The filter may be sufficiently blocked to prevent fuel to flow at a rate the burner needs. Replacing it may be required. If not a dirty filter, lines may be clogged by bacteria in the oil that has clogged them. You might need to have the lines blown back to the tank with a compressed air tool designed specifically for this purpose. Air in the fuel line can cause the flame to go out, and once out it will not restart without the spark. This can be caused by the constant vibration of the burner. A loose coupling between the blower and oil pump can cause the flame to go out, as could a faulty oil pump. Too little combustion air can cause soot - too much is almost as bad.

The real problem is lack of professional maintenance. An oil burner needs to be tuned, not just cleaned. Proper air / fuel mixtures, nozzles replaced when worn, heat damaged parts replaced, clean heat exchangers, stack temperatures, draft, etc. must all be "tweaked." for optimum performance. A properly tuned traditional burner can be 86% efficient - newer styles well over 90%. But they won't stay that way without annual tuning. With the cost of heating oil, why settle for less than optimum efficiency?

Good luck!

I had the oil tank filled and the furnace stopped working, I primed the furnace and it still wont work, It seems like the furnace wants to start, but it keeps stalling out. Is it a problem with the ignition...

Just had the tank filled ... Im getting the idea you burn one or two tanks per year? I would suspect sediment was stirred up in the tank and your filter is not clogged. Do you have your burner professionally serviced each year or do you do the work? For me ... I get it serviced ... they adjust the spark ... put in a new nozzle ... new filter ... clean the burner ... fire box and stack and I never have a problem.

Back to your problem ... I think if you replace the filter ... you will be back in business.

My boiler will not reset and the green light keeps flashing

The nozzle on the burner is probably clogged. Have a service tech who is qualified look at the burner. Pressing the reset button repeatedly will fill up the chamber with oil and create a dangerous situation.
