Question about Hitachi Televison & Video
I have to remove top part of tv because can't get upstairs ASAP I have te instructions but can't figure out!!

To fix it, just turn the set off, let it discharge for a few hours. Reach in and remove the socket from the back of the tube and reinsert a few times to break through the corrosion.
This is a sign of weakness in the manufacturer of the guns and the connecting sockets. The metal used in the pin connections inside the socket are corroding and when you remove the socket and reinsert it cuts through the corrosion and makes good

Are these circles at the center or in the corners. Can you see them on blank screen such as input 1 with out anything hooked up to that input. If so, you are looking at a light engine.

One or more of the projectors lights( my guess is the green one) are either blown or in the process of going bad. Have them repaired or replqaced by an authorized tech.

Go into the tv menu and select the Preferences menu and set your picutre preference from Theater to Normal. The TV is currently in Theater mode, wich is for viewing with no lights on in the room. Switching it to normal lightens the pictue a lot.
