There could be a lot of things causing this and that brand is not well supported with information. The camera sensativity is a main concern when recording. If there is something in the camera view that moves ( and it can be small like a cobweb) it can cause this issue. Likewise the main unit the camera connects to uses a sensing circuit to measure the video signal and it sees the motion through the changing signal levels on the cameras. If you have an issue with all the cameras recording then it is likely the main control unit is bad.

The issue may be is that you have a DVD in your dvr , that still shoes that date and time. Just a possibility, not sure,. try to see if you can take DVD out of dvr, and use a new one. I happened to me but, the case was a vcr,and I had a recorded video tape which while playing , was showing a blue screen, with "no data received" which actually it was when no data vcr was receiving from cable at the time it was recording . If the problem still is not solved then there is issue with some circuits, and processors. Also you may want to check if Bunker Hill has any customer support, to check with them.

Your problem lies in the hard drive. It no longer is booting the DVR. There is a partition on the drive that holds the operating system so it doesn't get overwritten when the drive fills up with video. You need to contact the manufacturer to get a new hard drive since the software to run the DVR is on the drive.
