the first thing to check is, is there a globe in the dash for the engine light? is the globe blown? some people remove the globe to hide the fact that the engine light stays on with a problem, sometimes this is so that they can get their vehicle to pass a roadworthy test.
There are a few different globes for fridges. If the wrong one has jammed in there, its probably not touching the terminals properly. Unplug the fridge (There are LIVE terminals in the globe socket) Use a towel or something in case the globe breaks and unscrew the globe. Take the old globe in to a lighting shop to get the correct globe.
Most fridge/freezers today have ES [Edison Screw] globes inserted.
IF the globe is not tightened fully they sometimes don't make a good contact and will not function properly. Try taking out the globe and re-inserting it. Tighten them firmly into the socket BUT don't over-tighten or you can damage the [usually] plastic socket and/or break the globe.
ALSO possibly the door switches may be stuck. Check [usually at base of fridge housing] for their location and press them a few times to make sure they are operating correctly. IF they are stuck there will be no electrical circuit so they won't work.
Sounds like you have a blown brake light globe. Often the brake light circuit electrical resistance is monitored and will have detected a blown globe (bulb) Have someone put their foot on the brake pedal and make sure all the brake lights are working. If not replace the faulty globe or repair the fault. Blown brake light globes on a few modern vehicles can cause many engine running faults which seem unrelated to the brake lights.
The dim ones are the parklights..........just a few questions first before diagnosing......when you put the switch to dim...you have no lights on ???? is the back lights on, number plate lights ??????..if not, could be the fuse blown for that cicuit......or get this....2 x blown globes...i have had this before......both globes dont work, and i diagnose for 2 hours, and find that I have both globes blown....because 1 globe does 2 circuits, the bright ones could work, but the parklights fail.......
I think you're referring to the bulb which is not working. You have to remove the cover from the microwave to gain access to the bulb. Replacements can usually be found at appliance repair shops or stores and electrical or lighting supply stores.
Remove the temp control housing so you can get at the bulb more easily. It unscrews counter-clockwise, it may just be stuck from prolonged seating. If necessary, unplug the fridge, break the bulb, and unscrew the socket with a pair of needle nose pliers on the outer edge of the socket. It may crush the socket, but that's ok, it should come out then. Good luck!
USE LESS THAN 5W GLOBE IF AVAILABLE OR 7 W IS A STANDARD GLOBE BEING NORMALLY USED, WILL & SHOULD NOT AFFECT THE POWER CIRCUIT AS PER MY EXPERIENCE BEST WISHES
