Enable or disable alarm. Radio code - Car Audio & Video

On the Timex T311, to disable the radio alarm, press the Radio Alarm button once. The Radio Alarm Indicator light should go out and the radio alarm won't sound. If you press the Radio Alarm button once more, the radio alarm will toggle to on and that indicator light will come on. Similarly, press the Buzzer Alarm button once to enable the buzzer alarm and press it again to disable the alarm.

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

It's tricky but it can be done.. I should add that it'll require some patience but it'll happen. First thing is hit reset on the bottom of radio. Second thing is to interrupt the RDS (scrolling message after reset) by hitting the power button. Now long press set until it begins to flash 12:00. COUNT the flashes until the 26TH flash and hit BAND. It doesn't always work, but you'll know it does when the word alarm, an alarm clock symbol, and a speaker symbol are on the display above the time. I should also mention that it helps to switch the antenna (external & internal switch on the back) a few times (3 at least, 5 most) during both the RDS scrolling after reset AND while counting the flashes. They (Sangean) disabled the alarm, but some determined soul figured this out and it's been passed on by word of mouth through inmates. Good Luck. Pull extra electric wire from the positive side of battery but
most of the time the inline fuse is viable take both cables off
put them togeatherdor15 seconds and replace buy a radio saver
and the radio shack plugs into lighter holds the radio channels you like and also radio code holds that schould disable alarm

You alarm system monitor the radio. You basically disabled the vehicle when you removed the radio. You will need the original radio with the radio code and install it back. Your driver door lock is what turns it off and what turns it on. You have a 1996 Jetta find a electrical auto repair who is willing to do this (I do this all the time) Disable the alarm first get rid of the horn there is only on on the outer drivers side the alarm horn will have to be cut. From there acces the fuse box under the driver dash find the starter relay and bypass it. There your done no alarm and you can put any radio on .

The unit has 2 alarms (alarm 1 and 2). They can be used

together or independently. Alarms 1 and 2 have different

sounds so that you can differentiate them. The alarm will
sound for 1 minute unless it is disabled.

To set the alarm:

Navigate to "Set Alarm" setting mode as shown in the

Changing Settings section. The order of the settings is;
alarm 1 or 2, hour and minute.

To enable or disable the alarm:

• Press MENU until you reach alarm 1 or 2 display.

• Press [UP] or [DOWN] button to enable or disable the
alarm. "-:--" means disabled.
OK.

you need the radio code from the cars user manual - usually a sticky inside the CARS user manual has a list of relevant codes. RARELY is it stamped in the RADIO manual! its ******* central tonight...

Dont know how to set the time for the alarm, but to switch it off press and hold the menu button until it asks if you want to reset the radio and then follow the instructions. It means you have to reset radio every time but at least it stops pesky alarm going off...

At the alarm screen, highlight one of the alarms, then press the main menu button, several choices, including a delete option will be given. There is even a delete all option
