Possible backlight driver board , check with flash light at back preferably thus opening somewhere to see if there is a pic but you can't see without backlight . Failures usually caused by led failures putting to much stress on backlight output.

You need to do some more diagnosing of the problem. If you get sound and change channels take a bright flashlight and place it again the screen. Look for an image around the edge of the flashlight.
If you see an image that means the LCD controller board (TCON) is probably good.
The problem is probably one of three causes;
1) Inverter board is bad
2) CCFT (cold cathode fluorescent light) are bad.
3) Power to the inverter board is bad. You can also check the connectors.

Hello, This seems more like an interface problem then a board issue. Which interface are you using Component Video, HDMI or , RF(F Connector)? If you are using the RF (F Connector) there might be a problem in the tuner including the RF and IF sections on the circuit board. If you are using HDMI there might be a problem in the HDMI Integrated Circuit If you are using componente video the there might be a problem in the video circuits connected to the RCA jacks of the Component video input. If I were you I would have the take the TV back to the shop and have these items checked out, because board swapping is not the proper thing to do. Ballast Board may be Bad it is what turn Lamp on Call Encompass for parts 1-800-638-3328 or look for one on E-Bay they have good deals on Parts.Also CK Fan to Lamp it maybe defective .Call Mats for Fan 1-800-628-1118 they have lamps also.

Do you have backlight? If you do, you have a bad main logic board. Very common with vizio and are hard to find. They are usually out of stock everywhere.
