Slows down and stops when trying to cut hardwood

You just do not have a saw that has enough power, the blade is dull or both. Change your blade and push the wood through slower or get a more powerful saw for the hard woods.

Can I use 12 volt car relay in my 1991 motor guide st350 stealth 35 lbs. Thrust trolling motor old relay was gone please show me how to put relay in

12 volt car relays can be used for lots of general purposes if the right type is chosen for the job.

Most relays salvaged from cars are normally open single pole types (4 terminals). Sometimes changeover types are used (5 terminals).
Modern cars are often equipped with relays containing electronics for special purposes. Often, but not always these have more terminals.

If in doubt the cover of most relays can be removed (with care) for examination. Car relays are usually rated at either 20 amps or 30 amps. The rating is usually marked on the cover and often the internal circuit or pin-outs also. If a reliable job is required it is important to ensure the relay isn't overloaded. 10 amps load continuous maximum for a 20 amp rating and less if the load is inductive.

Most relays are intended for a purely dc resistive load. Those intended for an inductive load also contain a small value capacitor and/or a diode. This is to prevent excessive arcing and the premature failure of the contacts.

While this hasn't entirely answered your question, I hope it will give you a start. A motor is an inductive load and you will need to know how much current it consumes in order to choose the correct relay.

If induction cooker does not heat the pot

Induction-compatible cookware contains contains iron or has a layer with magnetic properties. Cast iron, enamel cast iron and most types of stainless steel cookware are all induction compatible (But not all types; for instance, All-Clad's MC2 line, which is made of aluminum and stainless steel, is not induction compatible)

Dryer wont start turning, I can turn the drum and it will start

It sounds like the device that starts the motor has died. Now you have to find out if you have a capacitor start motor, or one of the induction start types. If it's induction type, the motor will need to be replaced. If it has the capacitive starter, you may only need to replace the capacitor. This type has a large cylindrical cap, located in in a can that resembles a black quonset hut. Some small electrical repair shops will test your motor, if you bring it in, for a minimal charge, or possibly gratis.

electronic ignition or pilot type? assuming electronic ignition, check the airflow sensor for dirt in the peto tube, or a defective sensor, if you hear the high voltage click but have a failed ignition chec that the pilot is being lit, and that the thermopile/infrared sensor is good. one of those is your problem.

Dewalt DW718 Sparks When cutting . just bought it

The people from Lowes were right.
There are two types of motor designs: Induction motors and brush-type motors.
All electric motors that have brushes make sparks where the brushes contact the rotating commutator. They also run less efficiently but they are a bit smaller than induction motors for equal power output. Brushed motors can also deliver greater power at initial startup.
Because the sparks in brushed motors create heat, the housing around the motors typically have ventilation slots for air to go through to keep the commutator cool. This means you are likely to see the sparks if you look in the right place.
Since it's more difficult to get an induction motor turning, they typically have a "start capacitor" mounted on the side of the motor to give an extra kick to get the stator turning. While induction motors use less power when running, the amperage they use at start-up is typically double the running amperage.

Fan stopped working on our Bosch rangehood (Type D-FX41-8 or E-Nr. DKE935AAU). Lights working but the fan only inhibits a humming sound.

hi ;
the fan motor needs repair , the cause of humming is the vibration of induction on AC current in the motor.
if the motor stopped means it has faulty shafting and bushing, or maybe the starting capacitor needs a replacement, don't turn it on or use it to prevent burning of induction wire,
also it needs a qualified technician to repair ,

Motor was working fine. Turn off to disconnect vaccuum. Turned back on motor just hums. Won't turn impellor. This is a 120vac single speed motor. It is only 1.5 years old. Is there something called a...

The type of motor that uses a centrifugal switch, a brushless induction motor is considered too large and heavy for a portable vacuum cleaner though they are often found in permanent installations.

Portable vacuum cleaners use a series wound motor that is considerably smaller and lighter for a given power output and turns many times faster.

Both types of motor will hum if seized or locked and in that condition the series wound motor will soon destroy itself. It takes a little longer for the induction motor to overheat...

The centrifugal switch is not fitted to all induction motors and that is usually very reliable and rarely gives trouble except when unused for a long time in damp conditions.
Many single phase induction motors with or without the switch use a starting capacitor and sometimes a start/run capacitor. Often the capacitor is of inferior quality and will fail with the result the motor will just hum, though will start when the shaft is spun by hand.
