SOURCE: drum not working on bosch washing machine

I would say that the brushes want replacing in the motor, access to the motor is by removing the rear panel, remove the belt, and undo screws securing motor, remove motor, brushes are located at rear end of motor.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks

SOURCE: Hi got bosch clasixx 1400 wash machine not taking

The likely cause is that the channel through which the water flows into the detergent drawer is clogged-up with congealed black gunk that has built up from the debris in the water supply. The channel that feeds the fabric softener section (middle bit) is actually quite narrow, hence it doesn't take much build-up of gunk to stop the flow of water.
Try taking out the detergent drawer and with a brush, try scrubbing the underside of the 'keep' where the drawer goes into, to remove any black gunk that has built-up in the holes where the water jets out from.
If this doesn't work, then try the following. It will take you between 1-2 hours depending on skill and you will need a couple of tools to help you do it. I am by no means great at DIY, but I managed to do it by myself in about 1.5 hrs. Here goes:
Try the following, it worked for me:
(disconnect the power and water supply before you start)
1. Take out the detergent tray
2. Remove the contol panel from the front of the washer (need a 'Star' shaped screwdriver to do so - 2 different sizes)
3. Take off the top of the washing machine.
4. Remove the plastic 'keep' that the detergent drawer slides into. This can be a bit fiddly and you will need to detach the 2 water hoses that feed into the keep. For this you will need a pair of plyers to pinch together the hose clips that are holding the hoses in-place. You may also need to detatch the strip of the metal that runs along the edge of the front of the washer in order to get the 'keep' out.
5. Once you have removed the 'keep', look at the underside (the bit with all the cross-shaped holes that the water flows through). You will notice that this is actually two layers - you need to split this apart. No need for any tools - perhaps just a knife to run-along the edge where the 2 parts are hooked-into each other. Again this can be a bit fiddly - but it is essential.
6. Clean it! Clean away all the black gunk that has bulit-up. This is the MAIN part of the job.
7. Reassemble and you should be good to go!
GOOD LUCK!
Matt

SOURCE: Bosch Clasixx 6 wash machine

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
'F18' for Bosch normally indicates a draining problem. As you say the filter is clear, have you been able to check that something is not jamming the drain pump/motor?
So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and general guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If both the filter and pump are definitely clear, it COULD be the control board OR the main motor. Motors will show weaknesses when commanded to spin.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I believe that the key symbool indicates that the machine cannot lock the door. Sometimes the result of a slightly sticking door interlock mechanism. Open the door and close it hard and firmly (slam it a bit, but don't get silly about it!). A good test to see if this is the problem is to attempt a program with the door swinging open. If the symptoms (flashing key) are the same, then the issue is almost certainly narrowed down to that door lock mechanism.

If this fails, unplug the machine from the main power source and leave it for 20 minutes to allow it to reset its self, then try again.

I have bosch clasixx 1000 express that goes straight on to spin, it bypasses wash.

Possible fault with the main controller unit, it can be that the processor is malfunctioning or there is a memory error.
choose from another program and see if there is any change.
If not remove power for few hours , if not there are errors in the controller.
