It sounds like there could be something wrong with the wiring in that remote. Is it brand new or used?

SOURCE: need to download drives for

You will find the drivers on the download page at the Saitek website, here: http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.htm

Just choose your joystick model and operating system and it'll give you your drivers and software. I would have linked you directly to that page but it's not possible.

Hope that helps.

My saitek x52 joystick wont work. Flashing lights every half second. Throttle works fine.

My X52 began doing this after hundreds of hours of use. Joystick lights flashing twice per second. Throttle operative but joystick (and buttons) not.

The problem was 2 wires inside the joystick base that had eventually been sawed in half by the sharp edge of the metal tube that carries the wires up into the stick. I have no doubt that this same issue could cause intermittent operation if just the insulation is worn off of more than one wire.

The fix: Remove the 4 screws from the base and lift the joystick assy out of the base. Inspect the wires where they emerge from the metal tube. You will find wires broken, or, insulation rubbed off. If you have broken wires, strip the ends and solder them together...you should have about 1/4 inch of "slop" up in the top end so you can pull the top wires down enough to strip and solder. If you re-insulate the solder splices with heat shrink or spaghetti tubing I would keep the amount used minimal...these wires need to remain somewhat flexible when the stick is being used.

Finally, I fixed the engineering defect that caused this in the first place by immobilizing the wire bundle with hot glue at the tube opening to prevent future contact with the sharp tube end. If your only problem was skinned insulation, this hot glue application may be all you need to do to keep the exposed conductors from contacting each other or the tube.

Speaking of "slop", you will also be contending with a bunch of silicone grease that lubricates the wire and mechanism.

I have Microsoft Flight Simulator X and a Satek X52 flight control, however I have problems with the throttle on all aircraft. I have to use the F-4 key - can you help?

You need to assign the throttle function correctly WITHIN FSX settings area itself. Also calibrate the joystick in windows first. If you are not familiar with assigning FSX functions to your joystick, check the Learning Center section within FSX for step-by-step details.

My joystick will not respond.

you have to plug the round tipped courd into the slot in both controllers, connecting both. you only plug one thing into your computer and that is the usb cord built into the throttle control.

Lost the interconnecting cable, need help with replacement

It's a Male/Male PS/2 Cable. You have a couple of options:

1) Make it yourself. Find a couple of old PS/2 Mice, take em apart, tie em together and heat tube it OR

2) How can I get a Replacement Cable for my X52 Units?
Due to high demand, we cannot guarantee replacement cables for the X52 Pro. However, if you would like to request a cable please send your details to [email protected]. We will process the request and inform you as to the availability of the cable.
