SOURCE: Install two 10" subwoofers in a 2002 grand am monsoon.

The only way to Correctly do this is to Run an External Amp for your Subs. If you continuously run the Subs off of the Factory Amp It will Ruin the Subs and the Amp Eventually. This way you can still Connect the Rear speakers as they need to be. Please Rate my solution, I need all the Help that I can Get! Thanks!

Why do my subwoofers not work when connected to an amplifier that is powered?

The bus connection is actually not an RCA looks very, similar i think if you look at it it will say IN. as far as i remember its an input for like a CD changer. Run a Y splitter on one of the other RCA out put, split the signal and run one to your bass amp. it does not affect the voltage in the RCA signal. i think your amp is trying to send a signal instead of receiving one.

There are no RCA recivers on the rear of the deck. I am trying to hook up sub woofers, and not sure how to get sound to them. Can you help? Maybe there is a cable that converts to connect the two. I also...

you could convert the front or rear speaker wires to rca at the amp. by soldering on the rca plugs.if you converted the fronts then the front speakers would no longer work as you were taking the feed for them to the subs.

Rear speaker rattles in 02 Montero Limited

That cover doesn't come off - It's screwed (4) from behind. You have to take the upper trim piece off (and handle) to remove the bottom trim piece and access the subwoofer. If your sub is like mine, the foam all the way around the sub has torn away, making it rattle. There are only 4 screws holding the sub in place, and it's sticky taped to the wall, so you may have to pry it off. Hope this helps!

Have stock radio # F75F-19B131-AA its in a 1998 F250 need to know how and if i can hook up one Amp for the two door speakers, and if i can hook up an additional Amp for some subs. Ofcourse if radio can do...

You will need a line level converter for starters (takes speaker level signal and converts it to line level/RCA signal) you connect this to the speaker left/right wires and it has a RCA left right on other end to connect and run to your amps, (you need this box because factory radios don't have RCA outputs on them) At that point all you have to do next is run the power/gnd/rem for your amp and then speaker wires to your front/rear speaker and then sub (if using). You can use one of these converters for your front/back speakers so you will still have use of your front/back/left/right fading options. make sure you disconnect th factory plug/harness at each speaker since the amp will be powering them and you will run speaker wires to each speaker. If you only want one converter it will be on your front channel and your sub will be power by the front. (you will fade to front for more/less sub bass unless your amp has a separate volume/bass control). If you want your sub to fade with rear speakers you will need to install another converter off of the rear speakers. Found a site with some photos that may help you with your project.

Adding line out inputs for RCA cables to amp

Hello ssmotorcity,

Here's a link to modifiedlife's Durango page showing the wire colors.

http://www.modifiedlife.com/2005-dodge-durango-car-radio-stereo-audio-wiring-diagram/

If you are adding a LOC for an amp to drive a sub, you are probably better off using the rear speaker wires, the last four wires shown on the listing. If you are adding an amp to drive all 4 channels, then of course, you need to convert both fronts and rears. The simple method is to tap directly into the appropriate wires and connect them to the line converter. If you do not want to tap the wires, you can purchase aftermarket wiring harnesses that are made to plug directly into your vehicle radio and/or the vehicle wiring harness. The Metra part number for a stock radio harness is 71-6502. It plugs into the radio and provides pigtail connections for power and speakers. There is, of course, a harness that plugs into the vehicle harness itself, allowing you to make the connections without any cutting or tapping of the original wiring.

Hope this helps.
