Power board issues with vizio d650i-b2 65" tv

Have replaced the power board more than once. when I replace the board, it becomes fully functional for about a week and then the power issues start coming back. symptoms include: wont power on at all. power cycling every time you use the tv helps sometimes but its inconsistent. sometimes it will work, other times it wont. there must be something else other than the power board causing this issue.

Hello Travis, the power plate delivers two or three voltages needed to start the device, on the Main board, there are also other sources that are used to feed this same board and that can fail, that's why you have changed the plate source and over time it continues repeating the fault
I'm sending you a link, about someone who has a replacement plate kit for this model
I am also sending you the user manual, where you have the technical assistance number
I hope you find my comments and data useful, also that you can solve the TV problem in a definitive way
Greetings Franco Dosil

Saludos Franco Dosil

SOURCE: Which Replacement Power Board for LNT4665F Samsung LCD TV?

Howdy,
It would be a lot cheaper if you just replace the two caps that have gone bad. Just get a cheap solder pencil from the store and about an inch of solder and you are in business.
The Power Supply Board is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

Thaks for using FIXYA, BIG IRISH.

SOURCE: My Vizio VX32L LCD TV will power on but no picture or sound

I had the same problem after having a Vizio for 2 and a half years. I left the room for a minute, i came back and the screen went black. There was still power to the unit and you could see that the back light was working, just no picture, no sound, and you couldn't use any of the buttons. The only way to turn it off was to unplug it. It would then start up, with the Vizio logo going from orange to white, and then do the same thing all over, no pic or sound.

HOW I FIXED MINE: I ordered a new "main PCB" from tigerdirectparts.com (you can also use searspartsdirect.com). This is the circuit board with all of the inputs on it (hdmi, cable, etc.) I opened it up, disconnected the old one, put in a new one and now it works fine. I used both serial numbers on the board to search for it online. It cost me $144 to do it, but that's better than $450 for a new TV. My tv is the vx32l hdtv10a. I hope that helps.

For me the part number was either (depending on the vendor) : 0171 2272 2174 or it was 3632 0212 0150. Check your circuit and see if any of those numbers match up.

SOURCE: TH-42PX60U wont turn on. Blinks 10 times.

What I'm learning is there are several models of Panasonic TV's that have a video card that doesn't play well with HDMI applications and the end result is, you need to call this number and not only make arrangements to replace the bad board, but also this!
Your model doesn't show below, but I'd certinly inquire about the necessity of a "Firmware" update!,,,Panasonic knows FULL WELL they have a HUGE problem here!
Hope this helps!

At panasonic.ca I found the listing for the fw update under customer support-important notices

Vizio 75P-C1 Won't turn on

It's possible that the issue could lie with either the T-Con board or the mainboard. However, it's difficult to determine the root cause without physically examining the TV and conducting further tests. Here are some steps you could try:
  1. Check for any visible damage to the T-Con and mainboard.
  2. Check the connections between the T-Con, mainboard, and power board to ensure they are properly seated and secure.
  3. Replace the T-Con board with a new one and see if that resolves the issue.
  4. If replacing the T-Con board does not resolve the issue, consider replacing the mainboard.
It is recommended to seek the assistance of a professional repair technician if you are not familiar with electronics repair or are unsure of how to perform the steps listed abov

How to fix Vizio tv that doesn't turn on

If you have already replaced the power supply board and your Vizio TV still does not turn on, there may be other issues with the TV. Here are a few steps you can try:
  1. Check the power outlet: Make sure the power outlet you are using to connect your TV is functioning correctly by plugging in another device.
  2. Check the power cord: Inspect the power cord of your TV for any damage or loose connections. If the cord is damaged, replace it.
  3. Check for blown fuses: Locate the fuse box in your home and check if any of the fuses are blown. If a fuse is blown, replace it with a new one.
  4. Try a different remote: If you are using a remote to turn on the TV, try a different remote to see if the issue is with the remote.
  5. Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above steps work, it is best to contact the manufacturer or a professional TV repair service for further assistance.

No power to Vizio TV even stand by

Hi,

An analysis might help save time and money in this case. Please have an electrician or local tv/electronics repair website do the analysis to figure out which parts are bad. Then, you can by and replace the parts in the tv. But I would advise to let vizio perform the fix as your tv could become an electrical hazard if not properly fixed.

Thank you.

Upper right quadrant of my Vizio TV is dark!

This model had issues with cold solder connections going from the power to LED driver board, I think you will see the issues once you remove the power supply, the 2 boards plug directly into each other, its the power supply plug that gives issues

I have a Vizio D650I-B2 tv and will not turn on what so ever and I need help getting the back panel off.

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
