How to unlock a TV Samsung TV without remote?

My remote stopped working so I changed the batteries installed them correctly, tried a brand new Samsung remote still not working. I tested both remotes by shining them into my cell phone camera and they both blink red. I accidentally locked the TV parental locks when I was trying to reset the tv, so now my TV is set to one channel and I have no control to adjust volume, on/off, etc. I am out of work right now and trying to fix this myself. TV is only 3.5 years old model number UN50H5203AFXZA MHO1. I tried a hard reset by unplugging and draining power to both the TV and the remotes. I tried replacing the IR sensor and board twice, but the jog switch is still locked meaning it does not work. The way I turn on/off the tv is by plugging it in or unplugging it. I read that the parental licks are stored in one of the boards and cannot be deleted by draining the power. Now I wonder how I can reset the TV and unlock it by using the EXlink port on the back of the TV. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Christine

Make sure the remote is set to operate your tv and not a cable box or accesory. It's in the menu

Can the Ex link port be used to reset my Samsung TV?

This is a common problem with 3-year-old + Samsung 50-65 inch TV's. This advice is given with the pretext that you know how to be safe and use tools.
Locate the IR sensor on the front of the TV. Remove the stand and place it face down on a carpet. Be prepared to be able to leave it there for a few days as your replacement needs to ship. Remove all the screws from the rear panel to locate the IR or touch function/IR combo board. Carefully remove the board, get the board number that is located on the side you can not see without removing it. Since I do not know this number as there are different versions, this is a sample if what the IR board should look like. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41wWeOocaHL.jpg
Replace it with a new one. $30 max. Put it back together and you can control your TV again.

Hey guys my youview remote has stopped working, the talktalk button keeps flashing blue though

Test if your remote works by viewing it through a digital camera. (A phone camera works well.) View the front of the remote on the camera's digital display while holding down any of the buttons on the remote. If your remote is working you will see an RF light coming from the front of your remote. (You can only see this through the digital camera. The human eye cannot see the RF signal on its own.) If you don't see the RF try changing the batteries with known good batteries and try again. If you see the RF but your remote doesn't seem too work it needs to be reprogrammed.
Here are the steps for programming the remote to work with my Samsung TV and other brands.
1.) Turn the TV on.
2.) On the remote control hold down TV Power+01 at the same time. If the TV turns off the controller is programmed. If not, try TV Power+02, +03, +04, +05, +06, +07, +08, +09. Different TV BRAND??? ...TRY the codes listed for other TV brands located on the last page of this link.

My samsung remote BN59-00852A just stopped working, it wont control the tv. i changed the batteries but still nothing. please help

Try the instructions below. If you need to replace the remote, you can order one from:
http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=BN59-00852A&uuid=12967730823440

Before replacing the remote, try the following:
How to Re-Start Your "Dead" Remote Control This only takes about a minute and will restart 1 in 3 "Dead" Original Remote Controls. Good Luck!
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)
Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.
Step 5- Try the remote.

Special Note:
If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone you can test the remote to see if it is emitting a signal. Face the remote towards the lens of the digital unit until you can see the front of the remote. Depress any button on the remote. You should see a light (steady, blink or flashing) being emitted from the remote. If you do then the problem might not be the remote but the sensor on the TV unit.

Let me know if you have further questions. Please make sure to rate this solution. Thanks.

Tv won't stop changing channels

You need to isolate the problem.
1) Unplug the set for a few seconds then plug it in.
2) Operate the TV with the control/buttons on the TV. (Channels etc)
If the TV operates correctly then do the following.
3) Try operating with the remote unit. If the problem returns then it's the remote failing.

Sometime remotes can be reset.
Try this;
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.

Try it again. If the problem is still there then the remote is bad.
Since this is a new TV you should use your warranty to replace any bad parts.

Try this. Remove the batteries from the recorder's remote control and hold down the POWER button on it for 30 seconds. Then replace the batteries with fresh ones. It should work fine after that.
If not, the remote control may be defective.
